Oct. 22, 2007 - NOA2 Hard Copy received!! No email/website update.

Nov. 16, 2007 - Paperwork found & received by NVC!

Jan. 7, 2008 - Finally got the interview date

Jan. 28, 2008 - Interview!! Approved!!!

Feb. 12, 2008 - Arrives in USA!!!

Feb. 18, 2008 - Wedding Day!!!!!!

Feb. 19, 2008 - Apply for SSN

Mar. 12, 2008 - Packet mailed (AOS, EAD, & AP)

Mar. 12, 2008 - Husband's SSN arrives

We were touched yesterday and today and just eager for that magic email.

Just happy to know they are working on the papers.

It's coming up on 30 days since my NOA2 and the NVC has STILL not received my case. Has anyone else here with NOA2's experienced such a long delay with the NVC? This is not boding well for wanting my fiance to be here by Christmas. :crying:

Call CSC ASAP the same thing happen with our case, they sent it out the same day we called, good luck. Make sure you talk to someone at California and not customer service.

I read your post and just called, since it's been 4 weeks since our approval too and no NVC receipt yet. The lady said the usual "90 day" script. However, I called the 1-800 number I've seen posted various places on VJ b/c I didn't know of a number directly to California. When I asked the lady if she was at the CSC or just a general call center, she said she couldn't disclose her location and that there was no number to contact CSC directly. In other words---"Yes, we have up to 6 months to process your case. Yes, we have up to 3 months to mail it out after that. Yes, your papers can sit here in Cali for 9 months before you should be alarmed" :devil::o:(

I expect that the NVC will get our papers soon, along with everyone else's who are waiting.....it's just such a helpless feeling and after going through waiting forever to get the coveted NOA 2, it's hard to hear the heartless answers.

Congrats to the recently approved and the ones getting touched! Hope your good news comes through in time for a great weekend celebration!! :dance::dance:

Sept. 20, 2007: APPROVAL NOA 2 !!! (Day 139)

Sept. 24, 2007: Hard copy NOA 2 received in mail

Oct. 25, 2007: Papers arrived at NVC

Oct. 29, 2007: Papers left NVC: enroute to Bucharest YAY!!

Nov. 2, 2007: Packet 3 mailed from embassy

Nov. 8, 2007: Packet 3 received, medical and interview scheduled by phone

Nov. 12, 2007: Medical appointment completed

Nov. 13, 2007: Interview in Bucharest: VISA APPROVED!!

JANUARY 12, 2008: THE WEDDING

AOS:

Dec.31, 2007: Filed AOS/EAD/AP via mail

Jan. 30, 2008: Biometrics appointment

March 11, 2008: EAD/travel document approval via email

Case transferred to CSC (date unknown)

May 12, 2008: AOS approval email!!

Okay ThaiStyle, what was the RFE for? Curiousity is killing me...

They want me to submit documentary evidence to establish that my current name and prior name are the same person. Another word is that they want some type of photos of me with old name and current name. I was born in Thailand and completely changed first and last names when I became naturalized 18 yrs ago. I don't really have anything with my prior name so I told my fiancee to get a hold of my family in Thailand to send me those documents. So hopefully it shouldn't take that long.

If you did not call them on the phone yesterday, I think the chances of getting an approval are very good.

I got a touch yesterday and today but I called them yesterday so I expected the touches. Good Luck :thumbs:
