Ooooh! I just got the "your password is about to expire" message on the USCIS website. That made me really happy, for some reason. I wasn't expecting it to expire (although I should have, I work for the government myself and all our passwords do the same thing), and it said it does every 90 days and you have to change it. So, it was the "wow, it's been almost 90 days now since I've had my case number? Action HAS to be coming soon..." kind of thing. Plus, it doesn't feel like (now that they've passed) it's been 90 days! I purposely don't keep precise track of how long it's been, and I have to say, it really surprised me it's been that long.

On the other hand, I was very let down! It just occurred to me now, at 6 pm, that I hadn't checked my status. I think that was the first time since I got my case number that I haven't checked first thing in the morning at work. I just went there now and logged in and it took me to a different screen, so for a SPLIT SECOND I was like yes!!!!!!! It's different!!! Something is happening!!!!

But of course, no. Haha.

Aww, I'm sorry you didn't have any change it status. It would have been great after having that password email:P. I still have a little while to go until I have to reset my password. I hope it doesn't come to that, ahh.

That's a good idea not to keep track of the time you're visa's being processed, it might seem like it's going by faster that way. I'm crazy, though, and like ot keep track of everything, so I think that would drive me even more crazy:P.

Yeah, wish I had more restraint too. I check several times a day Good grief, not like it's gonna change from hour to hour! But I do it anyway...just like I do with checking the USCIS site...! We're at 96 days now *sigh*

Their system must be producing the paper notices, we just received our NOA1 in the mail, last week. And, we got our first touch yesterday. I'm sure we'll all begin to see some action on our case status online, as well as our mail. Good luck all!

Haha, oh, I check my status every day, don't get me wrong! Like I said, today was the first day since we started this that I didn't log right into the USCIS site first thing in the morning!

Yeah, obviously it was harder right after we filed to not know exactly how long it's been, but now that's it been -gulp- almost three months, I have to think about it for a minute to come up with the exact amount of days. And I just don't try to figure it out any more. I do find it FEELS like time is going faster when I'm not sure exactly how long it's been.

Well, good news that our group is starting to get touched a little, huh? (that....came out kind of dirty...). It's a start! I have to say I'm a little surprised that our Vermont filers haven't been approved yet. Surprised in a bad way. It seemed to me that Vermont filers were getting approved in six to eight weeks, back when I first joined VJ in April. Hmmm...

--madmcc--Our package was received on the same day, but I filed in Nebraska/shipped to Cali. Make sure you keep us posted on everything that happens on your case, dates of touches, etc! A Vermont filer with a receipt date of May 1st, your timeline is going to be the one to watch! Give us hope!!!!!! And we'll see how far behind my California May 1st case is behind your Vermont May 1st case, hopefully give our group an idea of what the timeframes MIGHT be like, at least VSC vs CSC...

hi guys! until now, we haven't received our NOA1 from CSC. My fiance called last July 19 and the lady said thay they send it last July 18 and we should be expecting it until Monday. But until now, still nothing!!! Terrible!

I hope CSC will keep on moving!

i called uscis a while ago (as the beneficiary and they allowed me..hehe!). i talked to a representative and he said that once uscis issues a letter like the receipt notice, they will not issue another one.

so, for those expecting a NOA1 from CSC and other service centers like, I guess, we should not wait anymore coz the representative said that NOA1 is not important or necessary for your future application/s.

but still.. i dont have a peace of mind.. huhuhuhu!!

i hope this will not happen for our NOA2!!!! grrrrrrr........

As I understand it, the NOA2 is more important. Still I understand how you feel. By some great miracle I actually received a hard copy NOA1 which for some reason made it all feel more real as I had actual evidence I could see and touch. Call me old fashioned but I like paper receipts.

I don't kown about those reps. over there. They all seem to give conflicting advice. I've heard that they were reissuing NOA1s and then i heard they weren't it goes on and on. Hopefully they won't mess up with the NOA2s. That would be truly awful.

Keep the faith! It's Tuesday hopefully we will start getting fantastic news very soon!

The May people are in limbo land right now. Soon we will be the ones yelling yipeee and wow when the NOA2's start coming in. My fiance' is coming to visit me in America on Aug. 23. He'll be here the whole month of September. We can hardly wait. What a nice gift to get our NOA2 while he is here. I'm going to send him back to Russia with all of the I-134 information for his interview. All I can say is......keep the faith and hang in there!
