I have a question. This estimate date on VJ is based on sending date. But, I sent my application on July 27 and received on 28th. But, the website said they received my packaged on August 6th and published my NOA1. So, I think that VJ should estimate time based on when USCIS opened our package and cashed our checks instead of just sending dates. Don' t you think so?

Also, a lot of April and May filers packages were not opened for a while.

Now, since everyone is getting NOA-2's, how quickly are the petitions getting sent to NVC? I think that whole fiasco deserves a new thread.

The number to call is (800)375- 5283. Press 1 to continue in English, 2 to skip the prompt, 2, 4. Then I believe the automated system asks for your receipt number. Put that in, then confrim it, and then you should be transferred to the service center that is processing your petition. In my experience, the representative then asks you to confirm your receipt number. The two times that I called, I told the representative that I had been having some issues with returned mail at my address, and would like to confirm that no RFE or other information has been sent to my address. Both times, I was told that my case is still being processed.

On another note.. for those approved today -- did you guys get your NOA2 via e-mail first or snail mail? Also, did you receive any touches beforehand?

They will process your application based on July 28th and not on Aug 6th. They honor when it was actually received; when they generate your notice has nothing to do with when they will look at your petition. They have had a lot of delays in data entry, but that won't effect when your petition is processed. I didn't get my notice until May 30th, but I sent it on May 2nd. They didn't penalize me for that, so don't worry.

It's confusing, but if you look at the recent approvals, you will see their sent dates are more similar than their notice dates.

Hang in there sunshinegirl! Hopefully you will hear something before the end of the year :)

Thank you! All I can do now is to wait. So I will keep waiting. Hopefully they will continue this pace of approvals. There are less June filers. In addition, they seemed to have completed H1B working visa process. Maybe that will speed up processing.
