One thing VJ has taught me is patience!!!!! What i do to keep myself from stressing about the waiting is read threads and read and read...I learned that there is a ton of stuff that needs to be done for the interview. I want to be as prepared as possible...Good luck to everybody...hopeflly we all start hearing good news...ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I may be wrong but if you check the time line on here, those of us who filed their visa packages in May will not start getting NOA2's until August. That is assuming you sent your package to the CSC. CSC received my package on May 31 so I am hoping to get my NOA2 late in August.

Unfortunately, no matter how much you hope, wish and pray, we cannot make this process go any faster. I know we all miss our love ones VERY much but it is what it is.

I am not telling anyone what to do, just trying to help those who are stressing out to understand that they are making themselves crazy for nothing, at this point in time. Please try to chill and take it one day at a time. We will get to the end of this process before we know it.

Good luck to us all.

The good thing is August is just around the corner now.

They had an article today in the Los Angeles Times regarding employment based visas. It stated USCIS was able to approve these visas in one day. HUH! How come visas for wives and fiancees take upwards of 6 months? Do you think the large corporations that need these people for employment pay extra as an incentive to have these visas approved quicker? Makes you wonder!

Wow, I find it hard to find people that even want to HIRE me, let alone pay 1000 to keep me.

Aww, hopefully it does speed up for everyone. I been trying to find ways to make time go faster but nothing seems to work. I started cleaning up and preparing for him to arrive, but I get frustrated because I know it's going to be a long time away.

On a positive note, I found the most amazing folder today to use to organize my fiance's papers and then send to him. It has 8 seperate folders and each folder has a really nice transparent envelope stuck to front which I'm going to use to hold proof of our relationship (photos, boarding passes) and pay stubs. It's also alot lighter than a binder and folders, so it might not be as much to mail. Woo. I was so excited when I bought it, then really depressed when I got home because I don't have any papers to put into it. I don't want to fill out his I-134 yet or get any of it's supporting documents because I want them to be dated really close to his interview. But it's really cute, so I'm happy about that :D.

The economy is Michigan is terrible right now. People with degrees are laid off left and right, and can't even find temp work doing retail or whatever. It's really a nightmare right now. I can't think anyone can immigrate into Michigan via employment at this point. The whole state is looking for a job right now, why pay $1000 and get sucked into dealing with the USCIS on top of everything (from an employers point of view)

Well, still haven't gotten my NOA1. I just want to have that in my hand. It's just a mental thing. It will make it "official" to me.

My estimated date has been flipping from Aug 10, then 18th, then 12, then 15th. It's August 17th now. I'm just going to assume I'll get mine around September, so hopefully I won't spend the next four weeks going crazy looking for signs. Oh who am I kidding, I'm going to do that anyway! But I'm looking to September 1st, it will be a happy treat to get it sooner.

Chin up, guys. The worst of the waiting is almost over. Every day when all we can assume that happened to our file was that it was inched up the line is coming to an end. We're getting there. Our files are edging their way into the room, and they'll be assumed a worker soon. We just need to get through this last patch of horrible waiting, and then things will start happening that we CAN control. Getting police records, getting the medical done.

Our half is almost over. We're doing it!

and how wonderful will it be to start congraduating all my fine fellow May filers! I can't wait!

Sorry, I'm tired and get rambly when I'm schleepy. Please keep any action on your file updated in this forum. I've been checking the April filers too, and I thought a lot more of them would have Noa2'S by now.

Michele

They had an article today in the Los Angeles Times regarding employment based visas. It stated USCIS was able to approve these visas in one day. HUH! How come visas for wives and fiancees take upwards of 6 months? Do you think the large corporations that need these people for employment pay extra as an incentive to have these visas approved quicker? Makes you wonder!

Yes, they pay an extra $1000:00 for premiums processing which typically takes 10 to 15 days to approve I-129 employment visas.

I'd send them my $1000.00 tomorrow just to have Dora home next week.

FYI-USCIS don't have Premium Service for K-1 (Fiancee Visa), so don't send them any money, might create more confusion.

I'm aware of that. They need to though. We need our loved ones more than we need employees. But, they have stopped taking employment applications and maybe that will help speed up the process for us.
