I assumed that it was the date the NOA1 was generated which makes me a May filer although the petition was received by NSC in April.

Hmm, that's a toughy. I'd really put you in either group. You can be an April filer and be disappointed that everyone else is getting their stuff done ahead of you, or be in the May group and be ahead of the pack! Haha.

That's kind of unusual, just from the other signatures I've seen, that they had such a gap from when they received your package to when they mailed the NOA1. Are you saying "received" as in, the post office verified delivery on whatever date? Or received as in USCIS "officially" recieved your package, checked it in, assigned number?

I just ask because everything happened on the same date for me. I mailed my package mid-April, and it was checked in, assigned my number, and NOA1 sent all on May 1st. I didn't send it certified, so I don't know what date it was received in their mailroom, per se.

The date the NOA1 is generated is the date I was trying to say, thanks! I assume the date it's generated is the date it would be dated, and that's what I was told to go by.

(PS - I see you're going to Detroit in 38 days. What date is that? Adam is coming to Detroit as well, August 23rd, which I think we figured out would be right around 39-37 days, I just don't remember now. Maybe you'll be on the same plane!)

The post office verified delivery to NSC in April but it took a month before it was received at CSC. I am going out to Detroit on August 24th on NorthWest airlines. They were pretty cheap when you book via Expedia.co.uk and they fly direct.

Same thing happened with us. I mailed our I-129F packet to NSC in April where it was received (I got a return receipt request from the post office) but for some reason it took a month for CSC to receive it once it was forwarded there. I got my NOA1 notice from CSC on May 18, a month later.

I don't know if I am a April filer or a May filer so I just sort of go between the two threads and 'woo-hoo' for those who get approved and hope for the best. And yeah, we are at 90 days.

The way thngs are now doesn't seem to make much difference where we land as for NSC it's an August 27th adjuncted date and CSC, at last check was August 22. *sigh* Guess we are the in between-ers, RoseMarie.

my good news is not a NOA2 however, my passport status finally came up online and apparently it's in the mail coming to me!!!!!

im so happy - my fiance's parents are having a party for us, we're travelling all about, going to a wedding, havent seen him since beginning of april!!

I should probably post this in the Friday "Whinge" section, but since I'm already here....

Not much action happened this week with regards to NOA2s . I've been diligently looking a couple of VJ timelines who were estimated to get NOA2s this week... and they did not. Sooooo very frustrating!

But as it's in poor form to just leave on a whinge, I will say I'm happy that the new Harry Potter book is being released tonight!! WOOT! (And happy to hear that things are moving right along in the bowel department for you, Emily!!!)

So anyone else have a whinge coupled with a smile to post?

Awwww Sienna, you can *sigh* and whinge all you want, it's allowed here. I do it all the time myself. I had such high hopes for this week as things looked to be moving a bit faster, thought for sure we'd have loads of approvals on here with lots of celebrating.

Hopefully we will get some good news next week.

Yeah Harry Potter, I can't wait to get my hands on that book! Hopefully it will provide a little distraction.

What i do to keep myself from stressing about the waiting is read threads and read and read...I learned that there is a ton of stuff that needs to be done for the interview. I want to be as prepared as possible...Good luck to everybody...hopeflly we all start hearing good news...ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I may be wrong but if you check the time line on here, those of us who filed their visa packages in May will not start getting NOA2's until August. That is assuming you sent your package to the CSC. CSC received my package on May 31 so I am hoping to get my NOA2 late in August.

Unfortunately, no matter how much you hope, wish and pray, we cannot make this process go any faster. I know we all miss our love ones VERY much but it is what it is.

I am not telling anyone what to do, just trying to help those who are stressing out to understand that they are making themselves crazy for nothing, at this point in time. Please try to chill and take it one day at a time. We will get to the end of this process before we know it.

Okay, so the 'delayed notice generation' problem was fixed and we were supposed to get our notices by today, right?

Has anyone gotten their paper NOA1? I mean, besides the people who already got it when they normally should have.

I didn't. I don't think it's ever coming. To repeat for the 100th time, I know it's not essential, but I'm sure everyone feels the same that they want that piece of paper in their hand confirming they have a case...plus I'd like to mail a copy to Adam to bring with him for customs when he visits in August. Right now, we have nothing to verify we have indeed started this process...

I am watching the April filers. The sooner they are approved the sooner they get to us
