In other news I called CSC right now and they said they couldnt access my file right now! Wishful thinking = they cant access it because it's already been approved, left USCIS and is already on its way to NVC and I didnt get a CRIS e-mail or anything yet because their computer system from the early 90s has been down and they havent been able to send out the e-mails. Reality = their computer system from the early 90's is down and my file is still "on the shelf"

We were shocked to see that we were touched on October 1. At first I was thinking it was yesterday, but then I realized that in California it is October 1, and it is still early enough in the day that we might receive word of our approval in the next few hours. That may not happen, but at least we know our file is being looked at for a change.

We haven't posted here before, but we thought this might be some encouraging news for everyone so here it is.

You can add another approval to the mix. Because we are in Guangzhou, and it is early morning here, I just now checked to see if we had any further news after our touch on October 1. I found these sweet words:

On October 1, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

While we haven't actively participated in this forum, because Ping and I are very active in another forum, this has been a great place to follow the news and share in your happiness as your approvals arrive.

Ping is sleeping soundly in the bedroom portion of our hotel suite. While I know she will be extremely excited when I tell and show her the news, I am letting her sleep until she awakens on her own. She will appreciate my consideration for her, and the restraint that it takes not to burst through the sliding doors to tell her the news. Then we will book a private room in a nice restaurant, call our family and friends in Guangzhou, buy some bottles of good red wine, and have a celebration this evening.

I wish all of you could join us, and we wish you the best as you continue down this long road. Remember that you have strength because you share a common misery, but you have more strength because you share a common happiness. It may not seem like it now, but that happiness is just around the corner.
