Its been AGES since we sent out the K1 Visa packet and still no response to my lawyer. GRRRRRRRRRRR! Been over a month now. #######!

Will be 2 mos since we sent out the papers Grrrrrrrrrr!

Did you send a personal cheque? If so you can check with the bank to see if it has been cashed and get your receipt number off the back. Then you can keep an eye on your own petition. As you can see from my signature we never did get an NOA1.

17th March 2010 - Started the removal of conditions process

22nd March 2010 - Application received by CSC

30th April 2010 - Biometrics appointment

So I decided to just call the USCIS myself to see what is going on since apparently our lawyer expects me to do the work. I think we paid for her help right? I suppose she expects me to NOT know anything about the process. But thanks to this site it has helped me know what is going on, apparently my lawyer has a hard time answering my questions. Cuz when we first paid her I asked her like a million questions. And since then shes been rude to me. I mean wouldnt a lawyer almost expect questions? I am just the type of person where I like to know what is going on and what will happen. Im just like that but either way I dont feel she should give me the cold shoulder just cuz I ask a lot of questions. BLAH!

So I I got the receipt # and on May 21, 2007, they received the I-129F and mailed me a notice describing how they will process my case. Hmm.....I havent gotten anything and according to my "lawyer" she hasent either. I have suspicions she is just slacking. I wanna write an explain that I may as a lot of questions and I dont mean to be rude I am just one that want to be involved not just expected to sit around and twiddle my fingers. Any suggestions? :(

I am starting to regret wanting a lawyer and though many have said I didnt need one we felt we did. We wanted someone that can help when we need help. Not just someone that tells us what to do and expects us to not have any communication with him/her till something is needed. :(:help:

It is possible she never received the NOA1. We mailed in April and have not yet received the paper copy of the NOA1. We got our receipt date from the back of the cashed cheque. Can you please add your NOA1 date to your timeline.

VSC does everything like a month before CSC. Wish i was with VSC, then i wouldn't be so worried about my December 31st wedding. I"m still hoping for August. wish me luck and best of luck to all May filers.

FYI

I called USCIS, since I haven't Received I-797 (NOA1) like most of us who filed at Nebraska Service Center and got forwarded to California Service Center and was told by the Rep that CSC is experiencing delays in mailing/sending Notices.

I called them to make sure they have my mailing Address Correct.

We can relax now and wait for NOA2 Approval.

ps: for the NOA1 field, on the time-line, should I put the date the tracker says they received the paperwork or should I put the date I called and got my receipt number?

2007:

February - May: extended visit to States, engagement.

5/4: I-129F sent (Texas Service Center, forwarded to California Service Center)

5/11: Petition received at California Service Center.

5/16: Check cleared. NOA1 online (no hard copy received yet)

6/19: NOA1 hard copy arrived FINALLY

7/16: Sent off for Police Certificate (U.K.)

8/22: TOUCHED due to phone call (RFE Trick, was told case wasn't assigned yet)

9/20:APPROVED!!! After 127 days from NOA1 and 139 days from filing date.

10/23: Spoke to Kelly at NVC who said they should have received our petition by now. She advised I send a copy of our NOA2 directly to the NVC office, which I did immediately. :-)

10/26: NVC RECEIVES CASE!

10/30: NVC SENDS CASE TO LONDON CONSULATE

11/1: Consulate receives case in London AND sends out Packet 3.

11/6: Sent Packet 3 to Consulate (we'd downloaded the forms on VJ and had them completed already)

11/22: Appointment for Medical.

2008:

01/08: Interview scheduled for 10 a.m. APPROVED!!!

02/01/08: Stephen comes to America!!!

May 1, 2007 - Application received by CSC

May 1, 2007 - NOA1 sent

May 3, 2007 - Touch

May 4, 2007 - Check cashed by CSC

June 1, 2007 - Call USCIS since 30 days w/out receiving paper NOA1, told to call back after it's been 45 days

June 15, 2007 - Call USCIS for update on NOA1. Told address correct, NOA1 was not generated, they will do so

August 2, 2007 - TOUCH!!!

August 6, 2007 - Received hard copy NOA1, finally

5/13 - sent K-1 packet to Nebraska

5/18 - forwarded to California

No NOA1 - [remember the printing problems of NOA1's??] -check cashed and last updated 5/23

10/11 - called using the RFE trick. According to Rep, just now assigned

10/11 updated online - at least finally something lol

10/17 - Got a Touch !!!! YEA !!! Maybe they are working on it now!

10/17 - NOA2

11/13 - Received at NVC

11/21 - Left NVC by DHL to Jakarta Indonesia

11/26 - Signed for at the Consulate [used the packet check at DHL.com - thanx to those that posted it]

12/5 - officially received and notified by email that papers are at the Consulate in Jakarta

12/5 - packet#3 also received by email the instructions [for medical & document review] - getting very close now after 7 months!!
