I should be right behind you guys. Mine went out that same week and was received May 15. I was entered into the system may 30, though. :blush:

Hi.. We sent it on the 4th of may and got the NOA1 on the 8th of may. I'm sorry about my timeline but I have a profile here and so does my fiance so we kinda share the same timeline so sometimes the timeline works for him and not for me or the other way around... I don't know why this happens... I think the timeline is working now on my profile if anyone wants to check. Thanks for the congrats!!

Hi may fillers!!! I've been checking this topic almost everyday since we got our NOA1 on 8th of may. We never posted anything but this topic was really helpful while waiting for NOA2. Today my fiance called USCIS using the RFE trick and this really nice lady told him that our case had been assigned to an officer and that we would be hearing something from them shortly! We were very happy and of course we were touched because of the phone call. And just now my fiance got an email from them telling us we were approved!!!!!! We're really happy, we were approved in 138 days since filling. So I really felt like posting this good news for you guys and tell you that CSC is really working on our may fillers cases and I think we'll see a lot of others being approved in the next fews days. Good luck to us all!!!

Simone and Cory

:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Thank you for sharing your good news with us! :star:

Hey guys,

I am just getting worried. Just to keep my mind of this filing stuff, I have been working a lot of jobs. I am basically working myself like a dog. After working 16 hours, it is so disappointing to check my USCIS status online, just to see nothing....the same date that it has been for months. I am going to give the old RFE trick a try tomorrow. Since I do not have a lawyer, I might say something like I read on the internet somewhere that when you don't receive notice from them within three months, it's usually because they are requesting more information. If that doesn't work, I will try the old give me a break cry of :help: Then, if I get a jerk that thinks that have all the power and dirt in a shoebox, I will simply hang up and try afresh with another.

Thanks Byron for the rundown.....

Please guys, don't tell stories of July and August filers receiving their NOA2, and not us....it drives me mad :wacko::blink::wacko::blink::wacko::blink: They should be concentrating on getting the May filers out of the way first. We have waited long enough :crying:

I think I'm gaining weight....stress eating is killing me!

Congratulations to our fellow May filer that received their NOA2....!! Please pass down and sprinkle that luck over the rest of us. :dance:

Hello Everyone,

I recently found a post on VJ that explains the way applications are processed at the various service centers.. Unfortunately, I cant find the link but I will do my best to explain how it works from memory. Apparently, when petitions of all kinds arrive in the mailroom, they are first checked to make sure they are complete i.e. signatures, payment, etc. Then the payment is processed and the NOA1 is generated. At this time the petitions are sorted by type (I-129F, I-130 and all other petitions) into seperate "bins" of 25 petitions each and placed in order in which each bin is filled. So it can take up to 4 weeks for a bin to be filled and placed in line for assignment to an officer. Once it clears the mailroom it each bin gets assigned to an officer to review and approve "hopefully" each individual petition within that group of 25. Officers have no rules in terms of which file to work on in order.. So its possible to see a petition that was filled a couple weeks after yours be processed and approved before yours.. When you see this occur it should be encouraging since more than likely your petition has also been assigned to an officer.. But your is waiting for them to work their way to it! When I read this it made me feel much better ( and less jealous ) when I saw a petition that was approved but filed weeks after mine! I share my timeline with my fiancee (sifreitas) so you may view it there! Im sure there are probably things I am forgetting about the whole process but hopefully this will make people feel at least a little bit better!!

Good Luck to Everyone and Hang in there!!!

Cory

Congratulations all who were approved today. I think we are being heard; the calls, the letters, USCIS workers reading some of our posts, etc. Approved at 10pm...wow! Maybe, just maybe they finally initiated a concept called swing shift and/or overtime at the USCIS...encouraging indeed.
