Hi everyone!

First of all I'd like to thank this community for being so helpful and empathetic during this long, stressful process.

Our interview is finally coming up after a long wait. It'll be in April 2018. But, we are so so confused with one of the required docs I need to take with me to the interview. When the NVC sent us the cover letter check list they told us to bring to the interview the following:

[x] Your _______________2016____________________ IRS transcript or U.S. income tax return.
[x] You can get a transcript on the IRS's website: irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript. If you cannot get an
IRS transcript, please send a photocopy of your financial income tax return and a copy of every Form W-2
and Form 1099 that relates to your return(s). Do not include copies of these forms if you provide an IRS
transcript unless you filed a joint income tax return with your spouse and are qualifying using only
your income.

But then on the embassy additional docs page they request the following:

For family-based visa applications:

c The appropriate Form I-864 Affidavit of Support for each financial sponsor along with a photocopy of the sponsor’s IRS transcript or most recent U.S. federal income tax return, and any relevant W-2s.

What should we actually get? we are super confused and stressed. My husband already requested the 2016 IRS transcript...is there anything else we need for the interview? If anybody has had experience with this embassy it's the one in the Dominican Republic.

Please advise.

Thanks!

You will need the original of the sponsors I864.. unless tbe original was mailed to the NVC..in which case you should take a copy... hope you made one..... and the 2016 tax transcript ... it contains all the attachments etc needed such as 1099 w2 etc.

Ok thanks!
