@Lovetoteach if you're filing under the 5 year rule, it should be even easier. You don't need any documents regarding your husband. And it sounds like you front-loaded anyway, so it should be in and out.

Let’s hope so. I’ll take everything I have put together anyway, just to be safe. I’ll try and speak to my husband this evening ( despite the 5 hour time differences atm) and  ask him what the letter asks. I do finally want to change my name to my married name legally, so will take my marriage certificate, even though I have already uploaded it.

That’s not too bad then. I sent everything to them when I filed. Even a copy of my itinerary and dates for my current holiday in England , all five years transcripts. I have  the parking ticket details, which wasn’t even in my name after all. I also have my VAWA petition and copy of approval notice, termination of removal proceedings by the IJ. ( Yes my case was complicated). Divorce certificate, marriage certificate, children’s birth certificates ( even though they are 25 +). I’m filing under the five year rule but do have my husbands birth certificate etc. Hoping that’s all I need. My American husband spent the first two weeks with me in England with family. I’m so glad I requested the post to be held and delivered when he got back, otherwise the letter would have been stuck

in the box for two weeks and could have gone missing. With the online update saying there have been no changes since March 28th I could have easily missed it.

your dhs.gov account doesnt have any update about your interview?  geez, what a mess. i am glad you received a paper notification!

We brought everything and they asked for nothing.  :)

They asked her to read a sentence in English (Well, Americanish :) ), then write the same sentence.  The six questions they asked her are two pages back.

Then went through the Yes no questions from the N400 rather quickly

He then asked to confirm her name and birthdate on an ipad for the certificate, then sign it.

After that he gave us the form that said she passed.  25min total and ours included a I751 interview first (which was What is you name, birthdate, address, how many children, how many step children, OK we are done)

Can’t believe it. I received an email

yesterday to say no updates and my husband who is back in the US opened our post which was on hold and there’s an interview letter the day after I get back from England. Panicking right now as I don’t know if I’ll have time to get everything together and learn the questions.

Congratulations!! Don't stress so much, this is great news! And they scheduled it at a time when you will be in town, which is amazing!

Just study for the civics test a little on the flight, and take whatever documents you have already mentioned in your previous posts. You'll do great and will soon be done!

But wow interesting that there were no updates on the site.. did you file your N-400 application online?

I'm not too surprised, their notifications are a mess. Currently, my uscis.dhs.gov account shows approval on my ROC, while on egov.uscis.gov nothing changed since "case transferred".

Another friend received her oath letter while online it was still showing "scheduled for interview".

Thanks so much. I have just asked my husband to send me a photo of the letter. He went back to the States on Monday and I’ll be here 2 1/2 more weeks. I told them I’d be back in the States on August 7 th, didn’t imagine they’d schedule it the day after I got back. Yes I filed online. I only received an email yesterday saying there were no updates. The interview letter could have been sent anytime during the last two weeks as we had our post on hold, whilst my husband was here with me in England visiting family and enjoying the World Cup !
