Had my oath ceremony today. It was a nice affair in Detroit. I went and applied for a passport right after so I can travel.

I guess this is the end of my visa journey. Its been quite a trip but thanks to visajourney & all the people who travelled along the way, I certainly couldn't have done this alone.

Wish you all the best on your journey. Peace.

Congrats!

Hey guys,

I posted my info a few months back but I don't see my name on the list. I'll leave my dates here hoping one of you can add it cause I don't want to mess anything up

CG Date: 04/27/2015

Sent: 03/21/2018

NOA: 03/21/2018

Fprints: 04/12/2018

I sent my i751 January 2017 and coincidentally, the day after I filed for N400, I got a letter in the mail saying my case had been moved to Texas. On May 10th my 10 year card was ordered, it was mailed on the 18th, and I received it on the 21st. When I went for my N400 fingerprints, I requested a stamp on my passport since my contract was about to be renewed at work. There the gentleman explained to me that me applying for Citizenship stopped the 751 process. I've been granted permanent residence so I guess the other process hasn't moved much. Who knows! We'll see what happens next. I'm hoping for a summer interview and not have to deal with USCIS ever again.

Good luck everyone!

You will have a combined I-751 and n-400 interview. Best of luck.

Even if I already received my 10 year card?

I guess at this point it makes no difference but I’m just curious.

If you have your 10 year green card you no longer have a pending I-751 - it has been approved - so you will only have an N-400 interview.

That’s what I thought but Name O Boy made me second guess myself. Now I’m just waiting for that interview notification 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Got the stamp 2 weeks ago.  Pretty quick process and she's good for another year.  They wouldn't stamp our 5 year old without her being there though and she was in school still.

Hey my friend! I got a stamp in my passport 3 months ago. The immigration officer kept my GC. I know that while we have an application pending we're legal but I wanted to have something with me at all times.

I know, I am thinking the same! Most likely will wait one more week and then go for the stamping. I hope you are having a good day? @YafaUSA
