Nice job with the Google Docs Tracker:

I looked up the Feb 2018 topic and saw that a person who had their appointment just 3 days before me got their interview notice yesterday, which is admittedly unusually fast, but still I can’t help but get excited!!!! :-)

Oh wow that's SO fast! Was it an expedited case? And do you know what their local office was? The online portal tells me my forecasted date is March 2019.

The next update you will get is "we reviewed your biometrics."  From memory it showed up a few days after my biometrics appointment.

Yes, I got this update this morning! So happy that they give this update, gives me peace of mind about doing an early walk-in.

I was looking at the tracker just a while ago and I am pretty positive someone in this thread will get an interview notice within a month. There is a great deal of progress in the February-2018 thread. Nice job guys for keeping the tracker updated and creating an excel sheet tracker.

Had biometrics appointment today.  Couldnt have gone smoother.  Arrived about 40 mins early as I didnt know where the place was and waited in the car until 10 mins before the appointment time.  Went straight to counter as only one there for biometrics at the time.  After the lady took my fingerprints I asked about renewing my green card as it expires in October,  She asked me to take a seat so I could speak with the manager.  The manager came out about 2 mins later and looked at my green card and said that I could come back any Wednesday afternoon and get the stamp in my passport and they wouldnt have me pay for the green card renewal as I was in the citizenship process.

On my account it said that it would be March 2019 and now it says February 2019 (10 months) but the manager told me that it would be around 9 months so I am hoping the manager is correct or that it happens even sooner as mine is a pretty straight forward case.  I had looked on line though and found that there are over 6k people waiting in Las Vegas so it will no doubt take time.

Good luck everyone

It is good to see the list growing and proceeding forward. Also, from February filers' interview dates, it seems as if in about 3 months from the date of filing, people are getting their IV date (which is very positive).
I will be having my biometrics next week ( 04/10/2018) and will take my mom too and request if her biometrics could be done same day. Hopefully, they will allow.
I am planning a visit outside states for my first wedding anniversary ( in the month of July). Should I ask the USCIS officer at the time of biometrics about traveling during that time?

Hi there, I am expecting a lot to happen in next three months with some good progress. About your question, the biometric staff doesn't know a whole lot about the immigration process because they are hired for the biometric processing exclusively. Having said that you can ask the biometric staff.  They might offer you a word of advice or direct you to someone else.

Hi, Thank you @Name O Boy I am also expecting (and praying) for good progress in next 3 months :)
I will see if my gut instinct gives a green signal that time, I'll proceed to ask them then.

You are welcome, my friend. The processing also depends on how backlogged your field office is until this moment. Trust your gut feeling and it may never let you down :)

I looked back at N-400 threads from past months, and yes it looks like there are certain local offices (like Chicago) that are moving speedily along! Hope a lot of you start seeing some progress soon! Unfortunately my local office doesn't seem to be moving that quickly though. I went as far back as October 2017 and didn't see any interviews granted.

Some of us, *cough* Minneapolis filers, will be waiting for quite a while.

I'm trying to see the positives to this - my husband won't need to take a couple of days off work for at least a year.  He's had a lot of medical appointments and biometrics to go to recently.

As long as it doesn't take 4 years, it'll be fine.

Quickly looking at Immigration Timelines on VJ, it looks like filing an N-400 with an outstanding I-751 may lead to quicker scheduling of the naturalization interview compared to filing post I-751 approval.

Is that what is in fact going on? I have to admit it's been a while since I paid any attention to what's happening at USCIS. Looking at NYC, two recent N-400 cases that proceeded quickly looked to both be filed online and with a I-751 still pending.

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.
