At first she didn't even wanted to process my appointment because I don't have my green card no more. I showed her the stamp in my passport and explained to her that THAT IS my green card. She kept shaking her head and then told me "who told you you can apply for citizenship?" The immigration officer who gave me the stamp here, in this office told me. Then she took it even further telling me that if I'll have an interview for my N-400 before I get my green card I will be automatically denied.

I know from reading on this website that what she said is not true but she still ruined my day...

Oh geez. Next week my husband has his infopass to get a stamp in which they will probably take his expired GC. 10 days after that is biometrics hopefully they will accept the stamp in lieu of the GC.

Done with the interview appointments. First was the joint i751 interview got approved immediately then I left room and my husband had the N400 interview! Both went amazing!!

Just make sure when he goes to his biometrics that he says that, that is his green card. Hopefully he'll deal with nicer people.

So glad I filed online. I feel like things are moving faster than they did with I-751/ROC. I just got an email update that they mailed my biometrics appointments letter (though not yet appearing online in the tab). I only filed on Monday!

Squeaked my wife's N400 in on the last day of March while sitting on a business trip in Abu Dhabi. Love this online filing stuff. Hope we get a Bio before May 2 as I'm back out of country for two weeks beginning of May.  Also waiting on ROC but of course California is taking legendary time to move.  Hopefully she can get her stamp when we do Biometrics

Hello guys,

I filed my N400 on March 20th online. I got my receipt via mail on March 24th. I received my biometric appointment letter on March 30th. Biometric is scheduled for April 12.

Getting really nervous. I submitted N-400 online on March 27th, and received notice today that they have mailed my biometrics appointment letter (not available online yet).

 

I plan to be out of the country from the 6th to the 22nd of April, and now I'm getting a very bad feeling that the appointment will be at some point during that duration.

I would go do a walk-in this week (before leaving), but without the biometrics letter in hand, they won't even look at me, right?!

 

And if the physical letter comes after I leave, there won't be anyone at home to check the mail and send it back with the 'new date request' checkbox ticked.

 

Any advice?

Your letter will be available online early next week - print it out and use that for your walk-in
