Just means you will get biometrics under review then reviewed.  I don't know why they said that to you. I think they just make it up as they go along.

Done with the interview appointments. First was the joint i751 interview got approved immediately then I left room and my husband had the N400 interview! Both went amazing!!

Hi everyone. So happy to be over in this thread since we just got through ROC (but awaiting 10-yr green card). Just a question and tried finding this on VJ. What does "Estimated Wait Time" mean? Is this until biometrics? Or until they start reviewing our paperwork? We filed online.

Welcome to the thread😁We assumed it was until biometrics, not definite though. You will see your Biometrics letter uploaded in the documents tab in one or two days ideally and on an average can expect your biometrics to be not more than 3-4 weeks away. Will need your appointment letter and green card for the appointment.  Good luck😀

Yes, that's the projected wait time until your biometrics.  You should be able to see two projected dates - the time until the next step in the process (for you, biometrics) and the overall projected completion time which is typically your interview wait time + 1 month.

This is where people have mailed their application in.  I went through a lawyer and he didnt want to file online and said that the only time difference was about 2 to 3 days for the initial center to scan in the information and create file.  The processing at the local office is not affected by being mail or online or so he said.  Time will tell.

Hey everyone,

 

Happy to be part of March Filers!

Can someone please add me to the list? I had my Biometric appointment yesterday and got an update this morning "we are actively reviewing your form N-400...".

 

The lady at my local office told me yesterday that I'm walking on a thin line, filing N-400 while my I-751 is pending (for over 14 months now)... Her own officer told me last month that I can go ahead and start my citizenship process.. sometimes I think they just like to bring us down and ruin our day....

Wow sometimes I wonder if uscis officers hate immigrants. It's their fault for taking forever on our ROC applications.

I agree with you!

 

At first she didn't even wanted to process my appointment because I don't have my green card no more. I showed her the stamp in my passport and explained to her that THAT IS my green card. She kept shaking her head and then told me "who told you you can apply for citizenship?" The immigration officer who gave me the stamp here, in this office told me. Then she took it even further telling me that if I'll have an interview for my N-400 before I get my green card I will be automatically denied.

I know from reading on this website that what she said is not true but she still ruined my day...

I remember the local office mentioning it was going to be a problem come ROC time that we had two concurrent I-130s for the same beneficiary.

It wasn't.

Hi All!
I just submitted my Naturalization application a couple of days ago (online). Though my ROC is still pending.

I really hope I don't get any weird comments about not being eligible to apply by any immigration officers at any point! My ROC is at the CSC, which is currently taking well over a year to process. So I figured I'd get the ball rolling on my n-400 in the meanwhile.

I feel like this will be a long wait too, so I'll probably have ROC done by the time they pick up my case to review.

Can someone please add me to the list? I had my Biometric appointment yesterday and got an update this morning "we are actively reviewing your form N-400...".

 

The lady at my local office told me yesterday that I'm walking on a thin line, filing N-400 while my I-751 is pending (for over 14 months now)... Her own officer told me last month that I can go ahead and start my citizenship process.. sometimes I think they just like to bring us down and ruin our day....
