it would be interesting if the table had people's country of origin.

I hear it can make a big difference in processing times.

How are everyone's Biometrics appointments going? I have mine tomorrow.  Is it still possible to get a stamp to extend my Green Card as it expires in almost five months ?

Our document just showed up on myUSCIS that my hubby's Biometrics is on April 12th. Now we just got to find a way for him to get time off work. Do they do walk-ins where we can walk in early like a week before?

Might be a better question for the MSP thread, my husband's biometrics was at Fargo rather than MSP.  (Only 2 hours away versus 5.5).

you can check with your local office if they allow walk ins, but I took a look at mine (Las Vegas) and they do not but they do allow info path appointments before my scheduled appointments.  It looks like they do them here on Mondays.  I would look at that option.

I might walk-in on Thursday (4-5-18) because I have MWF class.

Hope they accept me.

 

N-400 Timeline

03-04-18: Sent N-400 Application online 

03-05-18: Received an email from USCIS 

03-27-18: Received the letter for Biometrics 

04-09-18: Biometrics Appointment

I did mine n400 online today. Now its time to wait, I hope it doesn't take that long to get my interview. My field office is philadelphia, pennsylavania

Submitted our case March 5th, received March 7th, NOA March 22nd and biometrics April 11th. On the website it say processing time is 19 months, how reliable is that estimate?

They will give you the extension stamp few weeks or a week before the expiration of your GC.

Hi there, it depends on the field office some do allow walk-ins some don't.

Officers at my GC interview told me that background checks for both AOS and N400 have a component where they check with your country of origin and their relationship with those countries/time for them to answer plays a big part in processing times.

Interesting.  So you should be on the fast track being from Canada.
