Hey guys!!

i finally had my interview in NYC last week.

it was a long wait before the interview.

i got there at around 940am and waited until 11:45am to be called. I passed all the US history etc questions and English test too. After that, she asked few questions and then I received a letter that I’m a little confused about. 

It said “passed the English test etc” 

but it also said “decision can not be made yet”

I asked her if she needs more paperwork or anything, and she said no, everything is fine so I’m not really sure why. Has anyone experienced this??

Yes you have to send in your original naturalization certificate when applying for a U.S. passport or passport card so they can verify your citizenship status. They will mail it back to you separately and it will arrive shortly in it's own package after your passport/passport card arrives as well.

No, no other pending cases.

She did ask for my old passport which I didn’t have. My passport expired recently and when I got a new one, my embassy took the old one and kept it. Do you think it’s because of that?

For those who have already filled out the N400 online or by Mail, how did you answer the question about current spouse prior spouse info if your current spouse can't recall?

Are you applying under 3 years rule? (married to the US citizen) if yes, the you need the original divorce decree and marriage certificate of your spouse previous marriage, you will bring that when they scheduled your interview.

I would suggest to request a copy before applying it online or sending it thru mail, since you would need a soft copy of those and uploading it online or a hard copy before submitting your application thru mail or online.

I was in the same boat. Interview went perfectly well, fixed up a few things on the form that needed updating, but I passed my tests and all her questions. I was super worried when she said the decision couldn't be made yet, but she said it was because of a system glitch that was meaning the computers couldn't receive the background check. I didn't really understand it but she said I didn't have anything to worry about. I interviewed on March 5 and got my notice of approval/oath ceremony online on March 18, just under two weeks later. You should be fine!

Hi everyone! 

My interview was scheduled for today at 8am and by 8:45am it had been approved. The IO was very friendly and they only asked me for my GC, DL, and passports. Later on she asked to see my husband's divorce papers and that's it. All the ink I used printing all the documents I brought lol but better safe than sorry. I am changing my name so the IO said the oath ceremony notification will take at least a few weeks because they do all the name changing ones at the same time. Can anyone changing their name tell me how long it took? 

And can you guys change my info on the list?
