Hello Everyone,

Hopping someone can help. We are in the consulate phase and created profile, filled out DS160 and paid visa fees. After paying fees, the scheduling option was was available. There seemed to be plenty of slots for Bio-metrics however, when I clicked continue and went to schedule an interview, there was a message that none were available on that particular date so I returned to previous page to select another date. I performed this for maybe 5-6 dates looking for one with both Bio-metrics and interview slot. All of a sudden, I received a message that I had viewed the page too many times and my only option was to logout. Upon logging back in, I found that all data had been wiped from my account! No longer was my profile showing K1 visa or that fee had been paid or anything completed previously. I submitted feedback to the site-owner however, hope someone here can share their experience.

Thank you,

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Brian & Pasha, I don't have any answers to this really, but my fiance and I are going through the same thing right now for the K1 and it's SO FRUSTRATING! My fiance is currently locked out of his account and US Travel Docs India (phone #) said to just wait? He's waited more than 24 hours already, but maybe he has to wait up to 72 hours. Not sure. I'm going to email them today also.

I did read somewhere on VJ a couple of things.

  • Your biometrics date can't be more than 10 business days (I think) BEFORE the interview. And since there aren't currently any interview slots open at all, it's impossible to pick a valid interview date. Too many attempts to get a biometric interview and you will get locked out.
  • When you do successfully log into the "main" or dashboard page, you should see the little rectangles at the bottom. IF there are any open interview slots, there will be a message on this page. It will be something like 'Earliest Available Appointment: April 02' or similar. If you do not see this on the dashboard, there are no open interview slots. Don't even try to schedule a biometrics if there are no interview slots.
  • Probably your best bet is to periodically, but not too often, refresh the dashboard page to see if there is an Earliest Available appointment, and act quickly to book biometrics no more than 10 business days before that Earliest Available date. Hopefully the interview slot(s) will still be open when you get to that page.
  • CAUTION: there may be a limit on how many times a day you can log into the scheduling website (I think it's referred to on here sometimes as 'CGI Stanley'). There may also be a limit on how many times a day you can refresh the dashboard. I'm still trying to figure out the limits.

I have no idea why your data was wiped when you were able to get back in. I really hope that has not happened to my fiance...  Please share whatever you find out, and I will do the same.

I was locked out after checking 7 times in one day then after checking 4 times in one day. I think it's kind of random.

Ugh, it stinks that there's not even a predictable pattern for it! Completely non-sensical...which I guess isn't surprising, considering who we're dealing with.  Do you know how long you would usually get locked out for? Was that random, too?

Yeah, it's extremely annoying. Since I booked a good one, I'm afraid to even login to the website!

Well my fiance called and they said it would be unlocked the next day but he called maybe 8 hours after he actually got locked out. However, I've read on VJ that it unlocks midnight of the next day. So depending on the time of the day you got locked out, you may have to wait more than 24 hours.

Interesting. Do you happen to know if it's midnight India time or midnight somewhere in the US time?

Sorry I'm not sure :/ We booked the next week after it got unlocked. Has it been unlocked for you yet?

Thanks for the feedback guys! Good info.

The account randomly repopulated after about 24 hours. We were lucky enough to get an interview 3/23. Good luck in your journey. I couldn't imagine a more cumbersome, complex, expensive process than this ha.

Hi Julie,

I am surprised you haven’t got the date yet! Yes I remember how anxious and sad I got when I messed up with my dates when I tried scheduling the first time. I had my biometric today and my interview is on the 29th. So, I had confirmed on call (helpline) if it is ok to have such gap between the biometric and the interview they said it is fine nothing wrong. It’s better you call them and get it sorted as looking at the current scenario it is extremely difficult to get both as we want. I had scheduled my final attempt with the officer on call, they are very helpful.

Ahh, you are lucky. Congrats. Hopefully we'll also find an interview in March. Good luck with the interview.

He called yesterday and was told they have no way of knowing when slots will open up. But at least his account is unlocked now. Thanks for the info on the biometric scheduling. Best wishes for your interview.

I had the bright (?) idea to create multiple login IDs to check the CGI website more often for open interview slots without getting fiance's account locked out again. Let's hope it works. My guy must be rubbing off on me...here I am trying to use "jugaad" and beat the system. ;)

We got an interview date of March 16th!! :o I can't believe it! Now we gotta really hustle to gather our proof of ongoing relationship in an organized way (and a light a fire under the attorney's butt)!
