I really enjoyed the PI/United States memorial cemetery there in 2007,   where they have the 50 columns for each state and each states veterans that were killed in the Philippines and buried there have their name on the wall. It's a very solemn experience to be there and see all of the grave markers.  It has a very interesting history of the US involvement in the Philippines helping them defeat the Japanese. I also enjoyed San Agustian Church. What a beautiful building that has withstood the test of time. It will be exciting to be there again. I kind a wish she wasn't so isolated, but 14 million single Gwapa Filipina women can't all live in Manila. This is a better picture of her. I think she's a very beautiful lady. I laugh that she thinks she's an old maid.  Pretty fancy looking old maid to me.

If you have time a horse drawn carriage ride through Intramuros is very nice.  The American Cemetery is also worth a visit.  I enjoy WWII sites so Corriegidor Island is also a great day trip.

I just posted something about that American cemetery if it's the same one you're remembering. It was very beautiful and peaceful there. I also did the carriage ride with the lady that I was there with in 2007. It was very fun. Yes, the American Cemetery is very beautiful and peaceful.  I have enjoyed every trip there.  There is always some culture shock but I love the Philippines and the people.  I visited 5 times in 2017 and my next trip should be to bring my new family home.  I will be planning trips back there as soon as my asawa and her kids can travel.

She is very maganda.  You are a lucky man.  Treat her well.

Yes, they consider themselves old when they hit mid 30s.  There is no work for them after 35.  Rose keeps saying that she doesn't believe she can work in the US since she is 44!  I told her that you aren't considered old here until mid 60s.  I'm 57 and very young...

I love it that my wife's town is so isolated and how Mindanao is overall. My wife was the same way trust me, she was getting ridiculed and laughed at because she was 32 without a husband or children and people thought she was old/washed up. You should come on over to Davao City while your there and we might could meet up and my wife talk to her some.

That would probably be feasible since we will be there July 5 through July 16. Everything right now he still in the primary stages of development, but by throwing it out there, that Motivates me and I get feedback from members here that are positive. I know I'm not picking the best time of year to go, but it's the best time that fits in my schedule.Motivates me and I get feedback from members here that are positive. I know I'm not picking the best time of year to go, but it's the best time that fits in my scheduled in order to get K-1 started.  I explained to her that at my age, we're not going to have 50 years of marriage together. I've already caught a small amount of flak because of it. The typical "she only wants to come to America." They say it like it's a bad thing. LOL.

I look around at the women five years either side of my age of 55 and I just don't need all of their drama. I don't need 3 Chihuahua dogs, two grandkids living with,  none of that. My two youngest are getting ready to graduate high school in May. They both have jobs maintain their grades at school and will be going on church missions soon. I've been alone since her mother died in 2002 pretty much as far as long term relationships ago.

Since she will be graduating culinary school in the upcoming weeksSince she will be graduating culinary school in the upcoming days,  I am sure once her work status is approved she will be able to get a job at one of the two hospitals here in the nutritional departments. There's a lot of possibilities for her in the city I live in. We even have an Asian market.

I just decided I could either die alone at a later date or I could find me someone that I had an interest in because of their culture, personal characteristics, and positive health traits and Help them become the very best person they can.

Also I haven't noticed a large amount of pharmaceutical drug abuse among a Filipina women. In the USA it's not always that way. People here take a pill to offset the side effects of the pill that caused them to be ill.

.I don't use pharmaceutical drugs other than insulin. Maybe using Viagra soon, but it is what it is. I would rather not have a wife who is dependent on three or four medications.

I can relate to some of that but I am younger myself (34) so we could be together for 50 more years if she doesn't kill me first (joking, or am I?). But have you guys talked about children at all? I am just throwing that out there because some women do want those rugrats.

I got that flak as well because I met my now wife at the tail end of my first marriage(we were separated), but honestly I wouldn't be where I am today without my wife helping me and supporting me. So I just discounted all that talk of "She just wants you so that she can come to the USA" because in all honesty if she wanted to be rich she would have stayed with her x-bf and not been with me.

Yes. We have and I would want her to have at least 2. It wouldn't be fair to leave her alone. It wouldn't be fair to leave her alone.

Well I'm never going to be attractive to a 35-year-old, white, 5'5", 120 pound female here in the United States. And that would be a whole bucket of drama too. I'm OK if she wants to work outside of the home and all of that. One of the things she focuses on is not having her own husband/house/family to take care of and of course the choices there are not on the same level she is.

I've never been married to a Filipina I did a K-1 visa into thousand seven, but she and her daughter returned within the 90 day time.

We haven't discussed that or she did not share that information with me she is a Catholic girl from Pagadian City. Who wants to leave.

Yes to Corregidor is a very good day trip.  My wife would not stay over night ... too many ghosts on the island.   I plan to go back for another tour.

I agree the American Cemetery  in Taguig City is a very good stop if you are into history.  The cemetery  is within what was Fort Williams.  Now "The Fort" has new meaning.

I will inquire when we chat next time. She seems to be very passionate, but very conservative also which I like. I'll make sure I ask her

Rizzel park near the Embassy is a beautiful park. When I was there 5 years ago they were doing a lot of repairs and enhancements. Also, not to far from there is the National History Museum which for me was a great adventure in learning the culture and the history of the PI. Then of course you have Sea World across from Rizzel Park. When you are in the park you got to use one of the Comfort Rooms. You have a stand up urinal and you are basically outdoors with Bamboo trees and vegetation just on the other side of the urinal. Do worry, it's still in an enclosure not to be seen from the outside.

Was at Rizal Park (Luneta) last week. Enjoyed the lights and sound show - dancing fountains.
