Hello! We just got approved last 21 Feb and now preparing for documents needed. I'm aware that it varies on the country and was able to figure out mine.

> However I'm wondering does the CO will ask for my Fiance (Petitioner) CENOMAR (Certification of No Marriage) during the interview? He is not born in the US and He acquired his citizenship through naturalization and he haven't applied for dual citizenship yet.

Been looking around the forums no one seems to have the same issue... or it is really not needed and I'm just overthinking here. Hope someone can help me out.

Thanks a lot

Applied for AOS/EAD/AP : August 7, 2018 (via USPS)

USCIS Chicago received the package: August 9, 2018

Hindi nmn na hinahanap yan ng consular officer sis. Pero nag vavary prin yan sa bansa kng saan ka magpapa interview. If you are in doubt ask him to send you together with his latest letter of intent, pay stubs and affidavit of support. That wont hurt his pocket anyway.

He is Filipino?   If yes ... then yes it is very likely the CO will want a CENOMAR from the petitioner.

I know of a number of interviews where the CENOMAR was ask for from the petitioner (Filipino)

He needs to show that he is single and available to marry so I assume he is a Filipino who does need a CENOMAR regardless that he is naturalize.

If you are interviewing at the Abu Dhabi embassy, then i don't think you need to worry about this. They do not ask for the CENOMAR, not from the beneficiary. At least this was my experience when I interviewed there.

Re your petitioner - even if he is filipino by birth, he is a USC now (plus he does not hold dual citizenship), he therefore will not need a CENOMAR. He just needs to be single and free to marry by US law.

Yes if they are interviewing somewhere other than Manila the requirments could be very different.   My reply was directed toward what is requested by USEM

Filipinos that are naturalized USC (whether they are dual citizens or not) are asked for a CENOMAR at USEM, there are a number of topics where this has been mentioned.
