1) People are trying to help, free of charge, and need all the information they can get to give you as much helpful advice as possible.

2) We are all from different countries and we can't tell from usernames where a person is from.

3) Having a certain name doesn't necessary mean you are from a certain country. I have a Chinese name but I am not from China. Some people look at my surname and think I am from Hong Kong. I am not.

OK thanks noted. I have married my wife l can't annulled the marriage and marry her again when she visits next month because l might be up for scrutiny. I will try to do everything necessary to prove to the CO that our marriage is genuine and free of any fruad

Why would you mention annulling the marriage and then remarrying her? That's not the point. What you need to do is to gather a lot of evidence of time spent together. After sending off whatever you have for the i130, continue to accumulate your evidence to prove an ongoing marital union.

Oh, while you are at it, spend time reading the various filers from Nigeria to see what kind of problems they had, and for those who had no problems, what kind of evidence they sent in, how they handled the interview etc. You will have many months of waiting to do-- perfect time to read and be prepared.

Merci boucoup

a) english only

b) merci beaucoup*

c) take a look at your regional portal if you need more evidence based on your country.  You will likely need more than 2 visits by the time interview rolls around.

d) best of luck!

To be honest, it is not easy to compile a lot of evidence of a bona fide marriage when a couple is newly married.  But legal documents such as insurance, wills, financial documents are good.....in some countries, time spent together is one of the most compelling pieces of evidence......good luck.....i sincerely hope you have a smooth journey.

if you are familiar with Nigerian names.

Obviously we are not and that's why we asked.

To get good information out, you have to put good information in. "How much evidence is good enough" cannot be answered out of context.

@Lanre30 be sure to get plenty of facetime in and what is meant by facetime is wife visiting Nigeria more than once..As we know Nigeria is very big on facetime and family due to it being one of the high fraud countries, so there is so much required of us to prove a bonafide/genuine relationship....Always keep in mind when it comes to providing evidence it is quality over quanity...Make sure she has met your family and has taken plenty of pics with them..Please don't go by other stories you may have heard because not all ends in good results and not all ends in bad results...Be sure to go to the Nigerian portal on here and read up on the different stories so that you will have some type of idea what is required of the CR1..Good luck on your journey!

Hello everyone, by God's grace my wife would be filing my cr1 visa Tomorrow, l would love to know if we are good to go.

These are the documents presently at hand. Please kindly Advice if we need to include any other document(s).

1. Our marriage certificate

2. Birth certificates

3. 2x2 head shots (2 copies for each name of both written at the back)

3. Court oath from 2 relatives stating that they were aware of our marriage

4. Copy of her return flight tickets (January 2018 and April 2018) she will be visiting me for the 2nd time in April.

5. 12 different photos we took together in her last visit few family photos inclusive  (all printed in colors)

6. Copy of her visa and passport stamps to my country

7. A letter stating while she uses headcover in her 2x2 required photos that is for religious purpose. And an introductory letter and table of contents.

 8. Very Few screen shots of our whatsapp conversations

Are we good to go?

Having gone through a high fraud country (Ghana) myself, I would advise that you should look into including more evidence. While the evidence you listed would be fine for some counties, it may not be enough for Nigeria...especially since you got married on the first trip. You may not see that to be an issue, but getting married on the first trip is a big red flag and I have seen many couples get denied for that reason.

Its good she is returning for another trip in April. I would recommend holding off submitting until you can include that trip as evidence as well. She should also plan on another trip or two while the visa is processing. Time spent together is gold to these types of embassies. I made 5 trips in 2 years.

You should also consider letters of support from family and friends, as well as other things like can she add you to health insurance, credit card or bank account. A few chats is not enough either. You need to show constant communication between each other. I submitted 3-5 conversations per month for our entire relationship (August 2014-February 2017) plus call and Skype logs.

I know it may seem like overkill, but it’s necessary if you want to be successful in a high fraud country like Nigeria.

No doubt it seems overkill and demoralizes me a bit especially when more than enough evidences are required from your country when you thought otherwise, this is one of the benefits in registering in site like this it has opened my eyes to many things thanks everyone. I have already included her plane ticket for April too. And can we send more evidences while the process is going at USCIS? because it's just too overwhelming. The key point is more quality evidences over quantity
