Hey everyone! Just thought I’d update you all! I got an RFE back in late January (asking for updated lease agreement since we were on a “month-to-month” lease term). I submitted updated everything, including tax returns, bank statements, car insurance, etc etc. since it’s been a year and a half. They received it on 3/20/18 and by the following week I had a notice dated 3/23/18 that my application has been approved (without interview) and to expect my green card in the mail! Just waiting on my card now, phew!!! What a weight lifted!

Sad, everyone has moved on with their lives and I'm here checking my both case status's 1M times a day  :whistle:

Sorry you feel like we’ve abandoned you! My I751 finally got approved after 2 senatorial inquiries. Have you been in contact with your representatives yet? It couldn’t hurt!

Still waiting.... N-400 has been in line since Dec.. Probably I should just forget about the ROC. :(

I hope you get a combo interview soon! Good luck!

I have been reading this thread for so long and it is really helpful so I know I’m not the only one who is still waiting...This is my first time posting here. I filed my I751 in August 2016 and N400 in August 2017 and my case is still pending! I filed service request in The beginning of January 2018 because it was outside normal processing time but I haven’t heard anything back from USCIS. I called them back in March and I talked to a tier 2 officer and he told me my paper is at NBC now and he told me to wait but then I still haven’t heard anything so I called them back again a few weeks ago but this time I talked to the customer service and he told me my case is still at CSC!? I’m so confused I don’t know where my paper is actually! It is very frustrating to wait for this long. I believe I will have a combo interview and my field office is San Francisco. I heard the processing time for N400 is around 10-12 months.

The (mis)information line is chronically bad, especially at the customer service level... they don’t know anything. The notice from the tier 2 officer is probably correct, and your file is probably en route to San Francisco. Crazy that they have to send it to MO and then all the way back to CA! What a waste!

RFEs generally take around 1-2 months these days. Good luck, the end is in sight!

So I went to my infopass appt this morning and the Officer that I talked to gave me another stamp on my passport and said that they received my file last tuesday at the office here and that I am in line to be schedule for an interview.

I asked him if he knew the timeline to receive a interview letter and he said that the website says it could take up to 21 months :o:o:o:o

He also said that if in 4 months I havent received my green card or the notice to come for an interview I should schedule another appt to get another stamp.

Lord have mercy ....

Hi all!

I received an RFE at the start of January. The RFE was received on March 28th and on April 5th the status online changed to “new card being produced”..... We are hoping it means what we think it means!!!!

YAY! It is what you think it is - you've been approved and you'll probably get your card in a week or so! Congrats!

Contact your representatives (Congressperson and Senators) and see if they can follow up on it for you... worst case USCIS will probably schedule your interview sooner and best case they may take another look at your file and approve you!

In other news, for me...

On Monday, I got all excited there for a minute... my email said "we've updated your file" - so I checked in on the website to see if they'd done something on my N-400 ........ And nope. It turns out that the "update" was changing the status on the I751 (which you can finally track online) to say that my card had been mailed to me.

The update was dated Sunday... I got my new card 2 weeks ago. I joked about "wouldn't it be funny if they sent me another green card?" - hahaha

Right, so... I totally got a second green card. But this one says my "resident since" date is 03/14/18 (the date they finally approved my I-751) - SOOOOOOOO ticked off, since this means I had to take another morning off to go to an Infopass (fortunately there are Infopass appointments available next week!) to sort it out, and make sure that the date is correct in my N-400 application - if they look at the wrong card, they'd simply deny my N-400 because I "wasn't a resident long enough" and I'd be out $700!

Seriously, the IT department at USCIS need to get fired. OMG I'm so tired of USCIS and their incompetence!!!!!!!! :bonk:

Hi there, there are few other applicants on the VJ who reported today the same exact problem with their GC. Ironically the same date. What the heck is going on at USCIS :o

I have mine on Monday as mine also expired in February. I haven't applied for citizenship, but will do it this weekend as it is taking forever.
