Sorry I was too busy to keep you guys posted. My friend got I-751's approval letter on 7/31/2018 and Oath letter on 8/12/2018 for 8/24/2018 ceremony. So everything went well eventually.

My immigration journey is finally over! I became a US citizen since September 6 and the whole process took 2 years and 1 month!!!

Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences and being so supportive! VJ has been so helpful so I knew I was not the only one waiting this long through this journey.

For those of you who are still waiting, good luck to you all!! Hang in there! This journey will eventually be over soon!! I know how you all feel!

I still can’t believe my journey is really done after all this time!!

Ours was right on two year Mark - Aug 20 1016v(Case Received) - Aug 23 2016 (Oath Ceremony).

received my letter last night, one of the requirements for the I751 application is :
SWORN AFFIDAVITS FROM PARENTS/FAMILY MEMERS
what exactly this mean? Do we need to have it both from my family and my spouses family??

I woke up to the enclosed message, after two years of waiting, an August 2016 filer (I-751), two RFEs and finally an interview July 2018:

New Card Is Being Produced

On October 15, 2018, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number WACXXXXXXXXXXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us.

Thank you to everyone for their contributions, because in my sleepless nights, it is the feedback I received from this platform that kept me strong, hopeful and resolute in my pursuit. Next week, it is my N-400 interview and now I don't have to worry about a decision not being made because of a pending I-751. I want to wish everyone best outcome in your cases, please don't tire, continue to believe and keep fighting!
