It only says “Due to unforeseen  circumstances, we have had to cancel the previously scheduled interview on...” if you read from an earlier post from kincowhe, his interview got canceled with the same reason too and both of us are from SF office. After a few weeks he got the new notice saying that it is going to be I-751 interview and N-400 after, please bring your spouse and updated documents... and he also got another separated notice of N-400 interview with the same time and date with I-751 interview notice. I think SF office just changed the procedure recently for those who have combo interview. My original interview is actually today and I plan to take my wife with me anyway, and now I have to wait for the new notice, hopefully soon. I thought my journey was almost over:(

Sorry to hear that, I guess all you can do now is just wait. I hope you hear from them soon. What a drag that your hopes were up and now you are back to waiting mode again. Keep us posted, fingers crossed for you.

My I-751 was transferred to NBC on May 8. It had been almost 2 months and still didn't receive an update. So I filed a service request for my I-751 today around 12 PM and received an update around 3 PM that my N-400 has been scheduled. I checked my service request status and it says it has been assigned to the officer for response. I guess the service request kinda triggered the interview.

I-751 (Removal of Conditions)

[08/03/16] Package delivered to USCIS (California Service Center)

[08/05/16] NOA (never received, lost in the mail)

[09/15/16] NOA replacement

[10/07/16] Biometrics (early walk-in on 09/27/16)

[05/07/18] Case transferred to NBC

[06/25/18] Interview was scheduled

[07/30/18] Combo I-751/N-400 interview

[07/30/18] APPROVED AT COMBO I-751/N-400 INTERVIEW

N-400 (Naturalization) with pending I-751 (Removal of Conditions)

[07/31/17] Package sent to USCIS (NBC)

[08/07/17] NOA

[08/31/17] Biometrics

[12/20/17] In line for interview

[06/25/18] Interview was scheduled

[07/30/18] Combo I-751/N-400 interview

[08/31/18] NOID received

[09/07/18] NOID response sent back to USCIS

[10/02/18] In line for oath ceremony

[11/13/18] Oath ceremony was scheduled

[12/10/18] Oath! Finally a US Citizen!

Sorry to hear that. That sucks. I was excited that we are getting closer to the end of this process, but I guess not yet!

who knows, maybe they fired someone and don't have enough resources to do that many interviews per day anymore.. I'm just thinking out loud.
It's just a matter of time, hang in there!

We are in Orlando, FL . My husband had his interview schedules for April 26th and we canceled it because he had final exam that day, he would have not been able to pass al 4 of his classes, go to work and cram 100 questions. So they scheduled us for May 25th, then they canceled due to unforeseen circumstances and whole month June went by with nothing schedules. So we place a service request yesterday for both i751 and N400.

So, guys since it seems that they are putting the interviews to the side until the pending I175 are approved to approve N400, does not this mean that we should all file an e-request because we are outside of normal processing time? If anyone file an -request, how long does it normally take to see some actions?

They didn’t give me the reason. The letter says “Due to unforseen circumstances, we have had to cancel the previously scheduled interview.... We regret any inconvenience this may cause.” and the letter says I will get another seperate notice for any rescheduled interview information. I called USCIS and the person I talked to told me there was no explanation why they canceled. There could be many reasons like something happened at the SF office or maybe something else, so I don’t know if it really has to do with my I-751 pending. Hopefully they reschedule my interview soon because I have been waiting for so long and now they canceled it.:(

They also canceled our interview last month too here in Orlando, FL

Just file a service request. usually you would get an answer in 3-4 weeks... but I got a response from my SR in a mere 3 hours. My I-751 status still the same, but my N-400 changed to interview was scheduled. Btw, how did you cancel/ask to reschedule your interview? By phone or in person? :)

We were scheduled for April 26 and we canceled because husband was not able to di final exams for 4 classes, work full time. Good thing we had a may appointment for the 23rd....and the day before his appointment, I got the call - due to unforeseen circumstances, they had to cancel his appointment.

Where's the office where the interview will be held? Some people from SF office got their interviews cancelled for the same reason.

I am hoping they take care of the pending I1751 because we are at least 6 months outside of normal processing time. We did not care because we had a schedule N400, but not that's ridiculous. They need to take care of that mess. They are sticklers about people respecting their laws and yet they are being so inefficient.
