Congratulations. So happy for you that you will be a citizen soon. Yes, will keep you updated.

Thank you. And as I mentioned before, I completely understand where you're coming from, as I'm also in a younger/older relationship. My husband and I have been together for 13 years, and like you, finally married when DOMA fell.

F-1 Visa: Academic years 2007/2010.

K-1 Visa: I-129F sent Aug 2013; Approved Jan 2014.

Green Card: AOS sent Feb 2014; Approved Jan 2015.

Removal of Conditions: I-751 sent Nov 2016; Approved Apr 2018.

US Citizenship: Application sent Nov 2017; Fingerprints Nov 2017; Civics/English exam March 2018; Oath May 2018.

Yes, I am sure you understand. We were together for 21 years and Stan was 46 years older than me. If it weren't for DOMA and Prop 8 in CA, we would have gotten married a long time ago, Stan would have been able to witness my naturalization which was my main argument for the request to expedite 751 and 400 in my packet based on humanitarian ground. I tried, and it didn't work, but at least I am getting my 10 year greencard.

Hi, guys after 1 year and 8 months and 25 days of waiting. My 751 was finally approved this morning. I wish my husband were alive to see this. I think he helped from heaven. Good luck to those of you who are still waiting. In the midst of sadness and immigration complications, finally some good news, I want to thank those of you who have been supportive of my circumstances. I did not get my "card in production" update though. Probably due to my 400, they still have to reject my 400 due to my husband's passing 3 days after the 400 interview. Anyone got the approval notice first and card in production second? Thanks.

Congratulations my friend. I am very happy for you. I understand how tough this whole journey has been for you. Take care of yourself and stay on this VJ community to be a good influence. I wish Stan was alive but life is unpredictable. He was always there for you and he will be always by your side no matter how tough the circumstances may become regards.

Thank you so much for your support. What is amazing is that I got a update on his birthday, and next day I was approved, I just did not know that until this morning. I definitely think Stan had something to do with the approval, it would have been too coincidental. I guess I will just sit back, relax and just wait for my green card in the mail. The green card came a lone way with blood, sweat and tears for sure. No matter how tough life is, you just have to have hope and do your best, that is how I did it and I will continue to use that approach. I will definitely keep you updated and continue to be a member of this forum. Hope you will hear from USCIS soon too. Cheers.

You are welcome, my friend. You will have so many fond memories to cherish. I am so happy to see you upbeat and looking ahead to the future. Eventually, you will be a U.S citizen which will be a day to remember. I will be in touch with you. Good to see you will be here at the VJ to contribute and give us hope and support. Now your life has more purpose than ever because Stan wanted to see you become a U.S citizen plus this community needs your input on many things, regards.

Thank you for your nice words and support. I will be in touch too and help out as much as I can in these tough immigration times. We are all in this together and this forum is like a support group as well. Let's make the best of it. Big cheers, hope you will be approved soon too.

Yes, i can't believe I have been approved, but it is reality, good news for s change for sure. About the 400, I doubt they will approve it on humanitarian ground since Stan would have to be legally alive when I am sworn in. The INA says it pretty clearly, I am grateful already about getting my green card, I will just try to relax and wait till next August to reapply for 400. Thanks for your support, hopefully you can get approved soon.

So I just got e-mail with this notification:

Case Transferred And New Office Has Jurisdiction

On May 1, 2018, your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC163*********, was transferred to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by May 31, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

This e-mail was from my acc on uscis website, when I go to the acc on the dhs website it still says  that they received my response to the request for evidence on march 12th.

When I went to a infopass appt begining of april the officer told me that they had just received my file here at the local office and that I was in line to be interviewed , now they sent it somewhere else???

I DONT EVEN KNOW WHO TO BELIEVE ANYMORE

I just called USCIS again to ask about the notification I received today, I was informed that my file was at CSC then it was transferred to another office ( I couldnt understand where, but not my local office) and now they have received my file back at the California service center again for review.:wacko:

So I guess the officer that told me at my infopass appt last month that my file was here at the local office and I was in line to be interviewed didnt give me the right information..... IDK

That is really strange, maybe the location where you case was supposed to be handled was short of staffs?

Maybe it was a glitch which might be a norm at CSC these days.
