I am updating my case status:

We just received a one page “Call in Letter” (Form G-56) requesting us to come for an interview next month and it is also signed by the field director. This letter is very different from our first “interview appointment” letter that later on got cancelled.

Does anyone know about this Call in Letter format?

More details:

- Office location: address

- Date: date and time

- Ask for: (some initials here)

- Reason for appointment: I-485/I-130 interview

- Bring with you: alien resident card and/or state issued photo ID.

Also, the first time we got an interview letter it said to bring WAY MORE things such as photos, certificates, evidence, bank statement, bills, etc. and now it just says to bring ID (we will bring everything anyways).

Our guess is that it may just be the same interview request but in a different format :/

Timeline (From B2 visa to AOS)

July 15, 2016 -> Got married
August 3, 2017 -> Mailed AOS packet (I-130, I-485, I-765)
August 4, 2017 -> Package received
August 14, 2017 -> NOA for I-130 and I-485 (not I-765... called multiple times to ask about this but was told to wait)
August 25, 2017 -> NOA for Biometrics Appt (I-485)
August 30, 2017 -> Sent email asking to look for I-765 (My I-765 was LOST)
September 8, 2017 -> Biometrics Appt for I-485
September 26, 2017 -> Received email from USCIS I-765 found and PD August 4
October, 2017 -> NOA for I-765 and Tier 2 officer cancelled 2nd biometrics

November 3, 2017 -> Raised SR online for I-765

December 11, 2017 -> SR showed as "completed" by the assigned officer

January 8, 2018 -> Name was updated

January 18, 2018 -> interview scheduled

How weird! I've never heard of this before.

It’s been indeed a long time for some us. Finally this part of the process is over for you and you will have your EAD soon. Congrats! :)

Hello,

I need advice on whether or not to cancel/reschedule my wedding celebration in France (!!!) that is supposed to take place at the end of May. My husband and I booked plane tickets months ago and are supposed to leave the US on May 10th. I still do not have my EAD/AP...

@spazkles! Any updates on your case? You should be getting the card in production notification any day now...

Thank you for checking in Hamilton! Nothing new, except that they DID confirm receipt at last (my case was updated on my uscis account, but not on the website.) So we'll see...

okay good, and they send email when there's an update as well. They just say we have taken an action on your case. when you sign it you'll see what it is. you should hear something soon. and I don't know if you contacted the ombudsman as well, they are a great help.
