I got the interview letter today for July 19 and some of the things listed to bring to the interview I already sent before. Should I bring them again? Like affidavit of support, birth certificate. How did you deal with the medical? My wife’s medical was done in April 2017 and we have the sealed envelop at home. I am thinking I will just bring this sealed envelop to the interview. 

 

Any tips? Any hard questions? Thanks for the help and congratulations again. 

@nortonplus Generally speaking interviews arent supposed to be any harmful or anything.....It is a validation of everything you`ve already submitted.....obviously different locations, us agents perform the interview differently.

 

Look at my timeline, I have added a detailed list of things questions and documents I took with me, I believe that can help you to prepare for your interview.

Also guys i received an update on my AOS today that my interview was scheduled. Case received Aug 28, RFIE ON i864 on Sep 26 and case has been stuck at Response to RFIE received since Oct 11. I never got the update on the new USCIS website. Old website has the updates. Is that accurate or do you gusy think it is just an update probably telling me that my case is ready to be scheduled for interview since I never received that update.

 

This is what the update on the old website and app says 

 

On June 20, 2018, we scheduled an interview for your Form I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR ADJUST STATUS, Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxx. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. 

If your case status indicates that you are currently in this step, you have either been scheduled for an interview or are in line to be scheduled for an interview. The amount of time your application will remain in this step will vary by office and is largely determined by the number of cases ahead of yours. The interview notice will have specifics about time, location and anything you will need to bring to your interview. If your application remains pending beyond our normal processing times (as shown below) please contact our national customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. Please note that not every application/applicant will require an interview. In some instances, an interview is required by regulation and others an interview is requested because USCIS has determined that this is the most efficient means to determine eligibility. For a naturalization application the interview will include your taking the required English and/or Civics tests (unless exempt or waived).

You should receive an interview notice soon (I would say a week from today) and all the details for your interview will be there. As far as the USCIS web site goes, I would use that as your only point of reference since it has proven to many people that they`ve had many issues with that and updates on their website doesnt necessarily reflect the current state of your case.

 

Call USCIS for updated info.

Oops, sorry i thought i had quoted you. But i thought such because you mentioned "us agents perform interviews differently..."

They do, if you read some of the feedbacks posted in different locations within this site, you will see that in some cases, they ask you tons of questions, some other cases, not so many, some other cases they separate the couples some other cases they dont. Like I said, its is based on my experience and in what I read here.

 

I did my interview in Milwaukee and it was pretty simple.

I am certain mine will be in Milwaukee as well. And yes i get all that. I was just confused cuz I thought you collectively used "us" as in you and the other agents perform interviews differently. So i just got excited for a minute cuz then you will gimme a scoop on the Milwaukee office

Today my husband received a great surprise! An e-notification that his interview has been scheduled for the GC and to wait to receive the letter with more information. Yay! Sending good vibes to those still waiting to hear back!

Oh my gosh, congratulations!!!!!!! I'm super jealous 'cause I'm still waiting. I just called yesterday and I'm still "in line". Good luck and keep us updated!!!!

Thanks and good luck! My office's processing time is 11 to 23.5 months sooo I' sure we will get our interview soon as well.

Where is your office? My local office Phoenix AZ processing time 14 to 23.5 my congresswoman is reaching USCIS every 30 days this montn they answered no updates and if there is any they will send it to me, I'm scared USCIS my local office will get mad cause they are inquiring about my case every month hopefully they don't and they hurry up with the rest of all us who still waiting 🙏🙏🙏.
