Also try "Verifying your current Address" (or other Personal Information) since Tier 1 support doesn't have any personal information from you, they cannot do this without a T2.

I think you mentioned that your communication broke while waiting to be transferred. "Hi, sorry I was being transferred to a T2 officer to verify my (home address/personal data) but the communication broke, could you please transfer me back again?"

It should be enough of a reason to want to verify your personal data and make sure everything is still in order (and in case they wonder why... I don't think this should rise their eyebrows and should be an easy thing to just transfer you).

If you get a very unsupportive T1 rep and you really want an answer, just move quickly to the next one lol. I don't think they keep a record of how many times we call.

Omg so I tried this and it totally worked! I pressed the numbers for the address change menu. When the rep connected with me, she didn't even ask about my address. She just said, "How can I help you today?". I asked if she could see where my case was and it turns out it was transferred back in April to our field office. I was surprised because it was transferred right before I received my EAD approval and the combo card. Anyway that makes me feel a little better but I'm still a little nervous because I really don't want to re-do our medical (ugh).

RE: medicals, I read somewhere that it is actually valid from the time USCIS receives it in your AoS package, not from when you do the exam and the doctor fills the paperwork?? Don't quote me on this. I may be wildly incorrect. But perhaps someone can clarify.

Starting June 1, 2014, USCIS will limit the validity period for all Forms I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, to one year from the date of submission to USCIS. Applicants must also submit Form I-693 to USCIS within one year of the immigration medical examination.

Since they don't know exactly what date you sent it (if sent through normal mail, for example) I'd be pretty confident that the date they use is the date they received it. If the report was already 1 year old when they receive it, it is automatically not valid.

Muchos gracias! @little immigrant, you still have a chance you won't need to do your medical again since you submitted it in August 2017.

I don't know if this is sufficient. I'd really try add yourself to some bill.. home insurance, or maybe cell phone bill? If your husband doesn't want to add you to his existing bank account, at the very least, you could open a joint bank account and share it. Then you could both transfer some money into it and use that for joint expenditures. I think an officer could find it weird/suspicious that you don't have any joint finances and question why your husband doesn't want to share any of his finances with you.

You could also include other evidence like letters from family/friends (though I believe this doesn't count for much), or flight tickets/hotel bills from trips you've taken together.

Did you guys get an extension on your 2017 taxes? I think including those (and showing you filed "jointly", or "married filing separately") will be important. Good luck!! It's best to be overprepared.

Not we didn't get an extension we always do our taxes after April on the summer, yes jointly. I have letters from his family, Christmas cards, etc. We have a few trips together we can show those tickets.

Thank you, praying for this long wait to be over for all of us, Green cards on our way soon 🤗 lol.

Hi guys,

This morning we finally received a notification advising our interview has been scheduled. It took a total of 11 months for our interview to finally be scheduled, I will be updating our interview date once we receive the notice in the mail.

what helped your EAD getting approved?

Any body from August still has a pending EAD?

Please see my signature in my public posts for details. Contacting my senator led to an RFIE. After that, I contacted the ombudsman and received the combo card one month after sending our response.

Oh you filed in Sept and got the status shortly after a month? Well, in that case I think there might be a high chance for a wrong status update.  I filed end of July and got the status updated last week. Fingers crossed for both of us :-)
