I feel like crying 😢 , Phoenix office taking their sweet time to process I-485, mean while Tucson's timing is half of Phoenix , 😭 may God helps us all .

I think that might not mean much. In the former system, they were processing March 2017 by Feb 2018, so how come now they are processing May 2016? I think this new system is meaningless.

Having said that, I filed for it on April 2017 and no sign of interview yet. It's soon to be exactly 12 months now.

I don't know but this immigration system sucks. Taking way too long. You should be a legal resident a long time ago.

Thank you. :)

I saw that @azblk filed for it last April too from Phoenix and has the interview scheduled. But it seems like he (she) started the process with a different visa, the CR-1. But I don't think the process is different, is it? Because the USCIS shows processing times for family-based AOS and that falls within this category.

Just to clarify I entered the US on B1/B2 visa in  DEC 2006 and filed for AOS in April 2017. I have my interview scheduled for tomorrow. I got a green card way back in 2002 and I gave it up in 2007. Now i am doing it over again.

Sorry, I thought you've adjusted from a CR-1 or K1!

Really?! Hope everyone's keeping their chin up. I mean, this will all be over at SOME point for all of us...

Yeah man I hope so as well. We have come support far let's hope it ends positively.

Waiting Since Aug 21 @Vermont Center. Raised 3 SR's, contacted Congressman (USCIS replied the case will be resolved within 45 business days on Feb 13th), Ombudsman (Contacted March 6th, they are still awaiting reply from USCIS). Nothing seems to work. Lost plenty of potential job opportunities.

One positive note is USCIS have stopped premium processing for 2019 H1-B category, and this is specifically done for cases nearing the 240 days mark. Mine is at 232, so I am hoping this ordeal is finally going to end.

Well, I have to give you props on the awesome username. So sorry you're going through this!!!! So are you adjusting from H1-B? I don't know much about that category except that it's used by the tech industry a lot (I live in Cali so it's mentioned a lot here). In any case, it seems like USCIS are very very behind on all applications across all categories. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you hear good news next week!

He's happy about VSC suspended premium processing for new H1b applications.. Because his case is in the same center and basically every year starting April VSC and CSC will have to handle all these new cap-subject petitions (85K of these cases) within the timeframe at around 6 months. So at April all other cases will experience slow downs.

What a Saturday Morning to wake up to. Finally got the much awaited email notification "Action has been taken on your case" :)  The card is in production and will mail it to you soon. I was getting the alerts last week about case under review and no updates at this stage message that many other august filers are getting. I hope that is a pointer that decision is around the corner.

Both of you are correct. It was a H1-->H4 COS + EAD after  working on H1-B for 6 years.  They recently suspended premium processing for new H1-B cases so that they can prioritize the cases that are nearing 240 days. I hope to get the card soon and get back to what I do best..that is work. Wish you all luck and hopefully all those waiting will get their approvals ASAP.

Congrats for your card! Mine also took a long time and several of us here understand the painful process only for EAD/AP. Glad you’re over with the EAD.

I have received those general updates as well, although they say “we are still reviewing your case” (twice in a week), we already have an interview scheduled for next week but had no notifications (SMS, email, no case status update) whatsoever, only received a physical letter right after we answered a RFE (for the EAD) and included a list of things that happened to our case lol, mostly processing errors from Uscis in each of our forms so I guess that’s what moved our case. Who knows. The system is unpredictable.

I have no idea on how Hb1 to h1 and h4 cos applications work (only that yeah, it’s used a lot in tech) but glad you’re able to continue working now 👍
