I did my address update online last February but i only changed from apartment # we live in the same complex. I received an email from USCIS like 3 days saying that my address was successfully updated it. I think you should call explain that you moved and you want to makd sure your address is updated ii and ask about your interview.

Thank you. I was asking because I don't like calling places. haha And since they have the online option, I think it shouldn't be necessary to call. I'll see what I do.

Hi guys...am sorry that am not able to come online because of busy work schedule and twice I got so sick that I couldnt even go to work. Anyways, I wanted you guys to know that I do think about you all and am glad that most of my friends have received their green cards or received interview notices. I congratulate each one of you :) and to most of you who are still waiting for interview notices please have more patience because every genuine AOS applicant will reach to the green card stage at some point of time. Am sure a few of my friends like @Canelita @T_P @Hamilton@Texasfiler and a few others know that when everyone got their EAD's I received a RFIE and that totally broke me and i thought that's another hurdle and my AOS is gonna take a loooooong time but then after 1 month after responding to RFIE i received my EAD and one month after that I received interview notice and again, one month after that I received my green card so please have patience and we all are here to help each other. God bless you all

Bless you my friend, its  always great to hear from you.

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I'm happy to report that we had our interview last month, and two weeks ago, I GOT MY GREEN CARD!

The interview went really smoothly, but took longer than I had expected (about 40 minutes). We went through all the 485 questions all over again (that took the most amount of time). The officer didn't ask us much about our relationship - just how we met and became a couple. She took all our evidence of financial co-mingling (lease etc.), but she didn't even want to see the photos we brought with us! At the end, she smiled and said it looked very promising. Checked the USCIS site when we reached home, and my card was in production. :D

Thanks everyone for making this such a supportive space. To those who are still waiting - it'll happen eventually! I hope you don't have much longer to wait. I'll definitely still be around this forum and checking in on how everyone's cases are going.

Congrats

Congratulations !!  I am still waiting for a notice.

Congratulations @Aviinashh

Did you guys (or anyone else that have had their interview) get any questions/asking for further info about I 864 / sponsor financial ?  Did you bring / have been asked for more paychecks, tax transcript , updated letter of employments etc to prove that sponsor info is still up to date ?  Or is the interview mostly focused on whether the relationship is genuine ?  Thanks !

Hi! We got zero questions about this at our interview and we filed I-864 + I-864A. We brought the financial information for that (taxes, w2s which we filed too) but it wasn’t asked either. She had our file there with all that. The officer mostly wanted OUR (husband + wife) financial info such as joint taxes, bills and those documents.

Hope that helps! 😊👍

Congrats. You went to Newark, right? What documents did they collect from you that were not previously sent?

I got the interview letter today for July 19 and some of the things listed to bring to the interview I already sent before. Should I bring them again? Like affidavit of support, birth certificate. How did you deal with the medical? My wife’s medical was done in April 2017 and we have the sealed envelop at home. I am thinking I will just bring this sealed envelop to the interview.

Any tips? Any hard questions? Thanks for the help and congratulations again.

I went to Mt. Laurel, NJ. They literally already had everything. I just brought updated bills with both our names and statements. If you have it handy, always bring it again, just in case they misplace it. I previously sent in the medical packet so they did not even ask me about that. The tip I kept telling myself and my wife is just pretend the person is a friend asking you about your life and it definitely goes smoothly.  Also, my officer asked me to surrender my EAD, so make sure your employer already has a copy. You can also ask them if you can mail it in later if you want to keep ahold of it. Thank you!

If you don't mind my asking, what additional evidence did you take to the interview? Congratulations on finishing the process!!!

Thank you! I just brought some updated documents with both of our names on it. Nothing new exactly. They didn't even want to see any new pictures... I was so excited to show them our recent trip to Hawaii ! haha
