I heard back from the congressman today. It was the second time they had contacted USCIS for me. It basically says that my I-485 is pending and that most cases would come back quick, but a small amount of them doesn't. A small number of cases involve unresolved issues and require further checks.

Pending?! Has anyone even looked at it if it's pending?

Then about my I765, it is currently under active review and I should contact them again if I haven't received an answer within 60 days.

Congressman cant do anything further. Is there a point in contacting the Senate or ombudsman? Or will they just say the same? And if there would be an issue with the case, would USCIS not have contacted me?!

People on VJ keep telling you to contact the Ombudsman, they're probably not telling you that for no reason. Not sure why you aren't taking that advice but you're just prolonging your wait.

Some people have said to NOT contact senate or ombudsman if I’m already are in contact with the congressman. It is not easy to know what to do. That’s what VJ is for right?

And if you read again what I wrote. I asked if there is a point in contacting anyone else further, as my application seem to be stuck. If there is an issue, how is it going to help to contact the ombudsman?

I am only asking because I don’t know and have never been in a situation like this before.

I contacted my congressman and still contacted ombudsman, I needed all the help I could get so I contacted everyone. You don't have to do one or the other. You can do both its not a problem. Ombudsman was more helpful in my case, just show them where you did everything in regard of uscis but nothing happened. like SRs and stuff take screenshot an email it to them as proof.

Thank you. I just wasn’t sure. My husband is away with work for months. So I’m left to deal with everything myself :(

Do you think it’s ok if I provide the info to the ombudsman that uscis provided to the congressman?

I spoke to a Tier II Officer this morning, she said as of Friday, March 16, 2018 my case is ready to be scheduled for an Interview! FINALLYY!!!! :jest: I have been going crazy seeing everyone else get these notifications....

I have had "We received your fingerprint fee..." as a status since August 2017! Beyond excited that my case is moving along.

My wife and I are supposed to go out of state for our 1 year anniversary next month, but I don't want to book anything without knowing my interview date! Hope I hear back soon. I will keep you guys posted!

I dont mean to be a debbie downer, but my case has been ready to be scheduled for interview since October 23th...still no interview.

I did go ahead and signed on that MYaccount  thing, and at least it seems my cases are updated...but my interview is still not scheduled. On the USCIS website I am still at case received for my EAD And AP,  but I have received my card.

Oh well, it is just getting annoying as this wait does not count toward me being able to apply for citizenship...I have been married 6 months now!

So do not contact senate and congress people together as they are kind of working together ish...there is even a question asking if any other government agency is helping you out. Ombudsman is different and I feel it is one step further than the congress or senate. So if they cannot get you moving, I would try contacting the ombudsman.

Thank you. I appreciate your reply. It is not easy when people tell me different, I kinda get a bit confused. It is also so frustrating being all alone here. Anyway, thank you for the help : )

At this point, contact the ombudsman. I will be doing so tomorrow as there hasn't been an update on my combo card.

Alright everyone!! I had an e-mail at 5.30am this morning from the myaccount uscis dhs. And when I log in it says like this:

We are producing your card and will mail it to you

We will mail your Green Card, employment authorization document (EAD), or combo card (EAD and advance parole) to the address you gave us. It may take up to 120 days to deliver your new card.

My questions is.... Why does it say Green card?? Did it say that on yours as well?

It is a generic message, mine said that too but my case isn't even ready to be scheduled for interview. So EAD/AP only.

The 120 days is generic too, I received my EAD about 10 days after that message.

Congrats
