06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Congrats to all who finally have the good news they have been waiting for!!!!! Thanks for sharing that you are getting your EADs, it gives hope to others (including us!!)!

So we took your all's advice and have filed a form with the Omsbudman and have asked for help from our Congresspersons! I forget who mentioned this (it was on the old thread) but they mentioned that a lot of people have faced RFIEs following the prolonged processing times due to essentially "outdated" information. I was wondering what information the RFIE generally is asking to be updated. I would love to be able to sort of "pre-gather" the info so that IF we also get a RFIE due to prolonged time between filing and processing, we can send it ASAP after it arrives!

6/24/17 - entered on K1 visa

7/30/17 - married!

8/18/17 - AOS package sent (I-485, I-765, I-131)

8/22/17 - Date on NOAs for AOS

8/23/17 - physically received NOAs in the mail

9/14/17 - Biometrics Appointment for I-485 and I-765

12/4/17 - called USCIS and opened case inquiry for I-765 EAD

1/4/18 - called USCIS again re: case inquiry, told that it was still not assigned for processing

1/26/18 - received email stating case assigned for processing and would receive decision/update within 60 days

2/28/18 - contacted Omsbudman and congressmen to expedite processing of I-765 EAD

3/19/18 - opened 3rd case inquiry

3/27/18 - received email EAD/AP approved!

4/4/18 - combo card received!

It seems most of the RFIEs other Aug filers have gotten have been for the financial support form. Sometimes it's for things you've already sent (more pay stubs, letter from employer) OR that you don't satisfy the 125% requirement. I don't think it's really possible to "pregather" info since you may not get an RFIE at all, or it could be for something really standard (like if they misplaced your marriage certificate).  If you put your timeline in your signature, it could also be easier for folks to help you :)

Just updated signature! Hopefully helpful.

I figured it might be case specific but may just start gathering updated financials for just in case. I have gotten lazy about downloading my paystubs :P

Although, how do we quote/reply something from previous thread on here? lol I may have missed many congrats and replies :( sorry for that. I CARE!

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone receiving good news (and man, that April filer who just received the EAD, what a patience - muito feliz por ti!) and welcome to new posters!

Are you talking about me? :) Thank you! (Do you speak Portuguese???)

@Hamilton, the Informed Delivery says that there are two letters coming to me today. One is the EAD approval letter (I could read it in the picture they sent) and the other one is a mystery. Is that the actual EAD card (it's not a package) or just another letter saying they will send me the card? Because you said your EAD card was coming in a package. And where is your EAD card coming from?

It's definitely not the actual card. I recently got two letters - one is the EAD approval, the other is the AP approval. If you filed for AP, that must be the second letter.

My card is hopefully being delivered today and shows up as a package. It's coming from Corbin, KY.

Oh, okay. Yes, I filed for both, thanks.

Does it say in the Informed Delivery that the package is from USCIS? In my Case Status it says my card was mailed on March 2.

Yeah, it does. Yours was mailed the day after mine, so maybe it'll get there tomorrow. You can call USCIS and ask for a tracking number from a Tier 2 officer, but since those conversations are often so unpleasant you could also just wait for it to show up as a package in Informed Delivery.

Good call. haha. Considering you filed even earlier than me, is waiting for the mail making you really antsy? I kind of want to go home right now and wait outside for the mailman all afternoon.
