No no, the US allows dual citizenship, the question is whether YOUR home country does!!!!!

Just as an example, in order for me to keep my German citizenship when I gain my US one I need to prove to the Germany citizenship office A) that I still have strong ties to Germany, which I do by keeping all bank account open with cashflows, I still have stocks there etc., I still have family there that I visit regularly (once a year) so I keep my boarding passes as proof, I renewed my German ID even though I technically don't need..etc etc the list is long and B) you need to show why it would be beneficial for you to gain the US citizenship...why is it so important which I show by collecting job postings that I qualify for and would like to apply for but I can't because those are government jobs and it requires US citizenship etc. (could also be things like that you are an only-child and that at some point in your life you might have to leave the US for longer to care for your elderly parents which could risk losing your Greencard).

This is just as an example for my country.

They definitely make you jump through hoops...Wonder why...And I thought there was nothing worse than American hoops ;-). But you were right -the USA does allow dual citizenship

Poland lets me do that, looks like but I am supposed to enter and leave Poland using Polish passport while the US asks me to use American passport to enter and leave the US...hmmm

ehm yes of course... anything else would be stupid.... you can skip lines and don't have to answer immigration questions if you use the passport of the country entering.

Any updates from Houston, TX, or Texas in general? We're still waiting, it's been a while. At this point I'm hoping I'll get interview after August, so we'll be married over 2 years and will get 10yr GC. I'm also confused about the medical exam- do I have to re-do it before the interview? I got mine done days before submitting AOS app last year, but it's been over 12 months now.

Do you think the houston office goes by visa type or they just go in order? It seems like some visa applicants are moving faster than others

I am in Facebook group for TX AOS fillers and it sure seems that fillers with B type visa are getting their interview letters later than other fillers that submitted their paperwork at the same time. The office in Houston also started pulling cases randomly according to some post of Houston fillers who had infopass and were told so by officer, or got their interview/GC way ahead of 19-30 month time frame.

So after a year and four months waiting for news, I got an RFE:( First news I have since I applied.Thi TgisThi
They want me to send them a new medical exam (because my application was over a year ago, so the one I submitted is not valid anymore). I have to do this by August 18.
Please, any advice on this?? I have no idea what to do.
I'm in AUSTIN, TX. Anybody knows a good surgeon in Austin who speaks Spanish (my vaccine records are in Spanish), and who isn't super expensive??

I'm not sure if you're following facebook group for TX AOS, but there was the same question asked recently (it may have been you, if so, my post is useless :D). Please see attached pic.
