Just wanted to say that Steven received his "Welcome to America" packet today that included his green card...his interview was April 2nd 2007 and we received an RFE and were awaiting a name check, so we think this happened pretty despite thinking the RFE and such would set us back...yay we're done for 2 yrs....i'm so glad we never gave up during this process, it is so physically and emotionally taxing on the relationship, not to mention the $$$ it costs...but we made it!!

January 16/07 Sent out AOS, EAD, and AP docs

January 23/07 NOA1's for AOS, EAD and AP

February 13/07 Biometrics in Portland, OR

April 7/07 EAD and AP Received

April 24/07 Interview Scheduled . . . and APPROVED, stamp and all!

May 7/07 Greencard is in my hands!

February 17/09 Sent I-751 to CSC

February 18/09 NOA1

March 14/09 Biometrics appt.

April 22/09 Date of Approval!!

June 25/09 Greencard arrives in the mail!

So just for informational purposes, how much $$$ do you think the whole process cost, from beginning to end. All in fees? or did you guys have an attorney?

10/17/2007 - INTERVIEW (PUT IN AP)

02/18/2008 - VISA ARRIVED IN MAIL!!

02/28/2008 - Arrives in the U.S.A!!!

03/15/2008 - Wedding Day!!

04/10/2008 - AOS Package Mailed (almost 1 year to the date later)

04/11/2008 - Received in Chicago

04/17/2008 - Check cashed

04/19/2008 - 3 NOAs received!

05/09/2008 - Biometrics Appt in SATX

05/14/2008 - Case transfered to CSC

06/11/2008 - EAD & AP Approved CRIS email

06/17/2008 - AP received in mail

06/21/2008 - EAD received in mail

01/21/2009 - FINALLY AOS APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!

I would say about a grand to get copies of things the medical and file for EAD and AOS after K1... but this price will be changing soon apparently. And then you have to file to remove the conditions.... more money there. Someone I know here in town quoted someone else that it cost him 2000. Not too cheap... but not that expensive either to be with the one you love.

Jul 20, 2012... Email from USCIS London for info to schedule interview Day 50
