You're right....you are 100% right!!! But I tell you, this has pushed me over the edge. Your fiancé has to go back to the hospital because they screwed up her x-ray. Mine has to go back to the hospital because they forgot a vaccination shot. Both of us sitting in wait because it takes forever for them to send documents and/or receive them and have them logged into the system and reviewed. When I was at the embassy, I sat and watched how many of their "workers" walked around and talked, laughed and did nothing; kinda like going to DMV and watching the state workers get paid to sit and do nothing. It could be because I'm partially OCD (or maybe fully OCD), but I CANNOT STAND DISORDER AND INCOMPETENCE!!! They know that not everyone lives in or near Kingston. So to have someone go back and forth to place that take 4 hours to get to one way is ludicrous!!! And the thing about the lady with the BC...I was standing right next to him when asked "who is filing for you" and I replied "me, I am the US petitioner", she got smart with me and was very rude when she pointed at me and said "I wasn't talking to you". <_<

We were there allllllll day and the last couple to be interviewed. They had skipped over our number and forgot to call us up to collect our paperwork. Just for her to collect the paperwork and hand back the BC. Maybe I should have said something but after she was rude to me, I just stood there quiet figuring she knows what's doing! But I guess not.

It is what it is at this point I guess!!

It is what it is at this point, but try to look at the bright side.  This was a stupid mistake that can easily be corrected.

Yes, it has delayed Reni a bit more from coming the U.S., but HE IS COMING!  He will be here before the end of the month.

DELAYED DOES NOT MEAN DENIED.

Keep the Faith.

Not luck of the draw - it's called them not doing their job!!!! In theory, had she kept his original BC that day, Reni would BE HERE BY NOW, we might have been able to fly back together!!! This entire time I have been driving myself crazy trying to understand what and why are we still in AP since the 30th when they have everything. As long as the embassy has everything, they do issue the visa that fast like the other VJ member. The problem is their lack of care of other people's lives because this is clear incompetence.

That day the CO didn't ask us for anymore proof of relationship or anything and said it would be issued in a week! This coming Friday will be 3 weeks!!!! Because she didn't do what she was suppose to do! And then they don't make it easy for anyone to get in contact with them. I've sent about 4 emails since earlier last week and I have only gotten responses to 2 of them! It takes them 5 business days for them to respond back. And then you provide INCORRECT information because last week they said they had everything!!! So that tells me, you were finishing up his brown envelope and realized, "holy #######, Batman, we didn't keep his original BC with us". As you know, Kingston is not down the street from where our fiancés' live. To think that he had to make 2 trips to Kingston the week of the interview because the hospital FORGOT to give him an extra vaccination shot!!! It's one thing if we're not doing our part in being diligent, but my taxes supplies their salary!!!! They don't get the right to be incompetent at MY EXPENSE!

Besides my patience being shot, they think money grows on trees!!!!!

Total incompetence. No excuse sadly it happens a lot. I'm not much of a drinker but we will hit the bar this weekend and have a few drinks on your behalf.

This whole process is enough to turn one into a raging alcoholic

lol @LabOz you are on point! @Trinab80 its better that you didn't say anything. Yea its annoying and frustrating to be delayed further but God only knows if she would of sabotage ya'll paperwork out of spite. Its better its something minor that can easily be corrected and you guys can move on to another chapter of your lives. These officers are suppose to be impartial but they are human and capable of spiteful shyt. How long is it going to take the BC to get from mobay to the embassy?

Reni is at DHL right now and they just opened so I will know in a few minutes. Yesterday, he showed up at DHL and 3:30pm and waited to be seen but at 4pm the DHL worker told him they wouldn't take him because they close at 5 and already had 10 people before him that had to be taken care of. SMH!

So, I just got the tracking # from Reni and they told him it will be there tomorrow because he missed the truck that left this morning already heading to the embassy.

At least we didn't have to pay for the shipping because it's included in the courier cost part of the visa process.

Jamaica is my homeland but this irritates me about there. So they close at 5pm, he gets there at 3:30 and is told he has to come back because they are moving slow??? Only in other countries this can happen. Up here if I go to FedEx or USPS or even the bank and I get in even 1 minute before they close they are going to service me. They are so inconsiderate as if he lives around the corner. He has wasted time and money to get down there now has to turn around and do it all over again the next day? smh Reni must be a very laid back guy because I would of had a fit in there. Then he returns and told the truck going to the embassy left already?? If they would of did their jobs from yesterday it would of been on the truck this morning! I know myself and everyone on VJ saying it will be over soon but they can really try your patience with their foolishness. Anyway I'll continue to keep you two in my prayers and as I said before a lot of ppl commented as soon as the embassy received the missing documents the visa was issued literally a few hours later. I guess depending on what time the officer gets the BC in his hands the visa will be issued tomorrow afternoon or Monday the latest.

I've emailed the embassy about my fiancé's medical and they still say they haven't received it. When my fiancé calls Andrews Memorial the nurse continues to say she already sent it. We're just waiting and hoping we can hear something by next week. I have memorized the case # now from checking so often like I did the WAC # smh

Reni is VERY laid back. Don't get me wrong, is he irritated with this process, OH YEAH!!!! But he never shows it. But me, I'm stark-raven mad about all of this!!! But made sure he was there a hour early before they open to be the first person waiting outside the door. I'm hoping and praying for a fast turn around as everyone else as said, but I'm not holding my breath. The DHL tracking site said it is expected to be delivered tomorrow before end of day. Which means it probably won't get the officer's hands until Monday, Tuesday the latest. I have to hope that it's a simple Xerox copy they needed so they can add it to his brown envelope and they issue it that before the close of business Tuesday.

In regards to your medical exam, truthfully, I believe it is at the embassy, but it's possible that it is either being reviewed by the officer or hasn't been sorted out of the mail room yet. Reni and I were lucky that it made it there on time for his interview after he had to go back there 2 days before for his missing immunization but that's because I told him that he needs to tell them it HAS to be there by Friday. But yes, I believe it's at the Embassy at this point.

Keep emailing them and staying on top of it. Email them again tomorrow and see what they say.

@Trinab80 ok I will do just that. My fiancé and I got into an argument last night about this. I believed the nurse is still lying about sending the medical and she believes the embassy has the medical but just hasn't issued the visa. Guess she was right lol I'm going to email them today.

The last thing you two need to do is argue over this. You've come too far to let this cause friction. I'm sure the embassy has it. It's just a matter of them getting their hands on it from the mailroom and making sure all is good to go.

I'm currently tracking Reni's package to the embassy which is to be delivered today via DHL. Once I see it's been signed for, I'll be emailing them daily until I see the status say issued.

oh we got over it lol I told her she was right. When I checked ceac website today it says the case was updated 5/18/2018 but still says AP. I'm doing the same thing you are, emailing them every day

I would check later today because its possible your status will be changing to issued if the date updated. That means someone touched and is working on your case. I would say if not today by Monday you should have good news.

So our case is still under review as per email I received from Kingston Embassy this morning. My fiancé and I are going over everything wondering if we missed anything. She said the Officer during the interview did not take her certificate of no-impediment. He did not even open the envelope it came in. When she tried to give it to him he said he didn't need it. Did anyone else experience this? I'm wondering if the embassy is going to make her send it....

I'm gonna tell you don't be surprised if they tell you to send it in. They took all his documents and returned his original BC which is why we're being held up and he had to send it in via DHL. They received it on Friday. It's my understanding they'll need it because it's proof that she's is legally free and able to marry.

I was afraid of that. I thought it weird the officer not only didn't take it from her, he didn't even look at it. We can't send it without them requesting it right?

That I don't know I know only because if you send them and they're not expecting it no telling how further the delay will take but if you don't send it and wait for them to tell you, you're still being delayed. You might want to ask this question in our country's portal and see what answers you get. Because it might be as simple as you emailing it to them because I know they have an email address specific for "requested documents" but I wouldn't recommend sending that either without them knowing beforehand.

Question....what email address are  you using when requesting a status update on your case?
