Hello May filer,  its been awhile since my last post here.Me and my fiance finally got married last April 18..We are now preparing for applying Adjustment of Status.Good luck to everyone ...

I can't remember what the missing immunization shot was but just make sure she gets her DS-3025 which list all the immunization tests she recieved. She's gonna need it when she comes here.

Yea she has that. She's on her way now to re-do her chest x-ray.

So today makes a week since our interview and being told we're approved. The CO told us that they would issue the visa in a week however as of this morning it's still in AP status. Now, I'm doing my best not to worry too much but do any of you think I should email the embassy to find out the status or just wait a bit longer? 

 

His medical exam was there on time for the interview and all documents were there and presented to the CO. I have decided to stay possibly one more week, at least until the 11th or 12th because I would like for us to fly back together but I wanted to leave no later than the 9th.

 

Am I overthinking this and should just be patient or should I email them to ask what's the ETA on issuing his visa?

If it says "non-immigrant visa" and it's under AP, it's standard and you've got nothing to worry about! AP is not only background checks but also printing out the visa.

It is normal, mine stayed like that for almost 10 days! Once it's issued it should be delivered really fast

Its says "immigrant visa" because k1 visas have the intent to migrate. But I'm gonna continue to be patient. I just want us to f loy home together so I hope it gets issued before next Friday or Saturday if not sooner.

Okay guys...I'll wait it out a little longer. Just wish the CO didn't say a week if he knew it would take longer.

I remember that mine was ready, then AP immigrant visa, then it changes to AP non-immigrant visa before issued!

Well I just checked both non-immigrant and immigrant and it's still in AP. 

 

I'm thinking that I will have to fly home on Sunday and once he has received it, either fly back out here so we can fly back together or let him fly to the US on his own. I only have a week and 3 days of vacation time left for the year and since I didn't bring my laptop with me so that I could remote while being here I don't want to run out of anymore days when there's so much more time left in this year.

 

This kinda put a big damper in our plans because I really wanted to fly home together.

Bummer. He shouldn't have any problems coming by himself tho! 

 

Let us know once you have it issued!! As I said, after that its pretty fast. If I remember correctly, my case went from ready to app received and then ap, so you skipped that one. I'd say it should be issued before wed next week

I think our ppl are good to fly out themselves. I've been reading every post I can about AP status and most got it within 2 weeks of interview approval. You were confident about me buying my fiance plane ticket in June so stay strong and positive. You kept my hopes up so please don't falter now when we are so close! We got this. My fiance and I basing our timeline off of yours lol we think you and Reni will get the visa by this Thursday or before. We estimate ours coming the following Monday.

If it gets issued before I leave then I'll wait but if not by ties I'll leave Wednesday and he'll have to come on his own or maybe I'll come back for a quick weekend trip to fly back with him.

Id email the embassy. We are May filers, my fiancé had his interview on February 5th, we were approved according to the CO then put into AP. He is still in AP, we’ve completed the DS5535 and the mbassy is now telling us it could be months before the visa is issued. I hope you guys get the visa soon and can travel back together, but I’d send an email for peace of mind!
