So, just now I received an email from the NVC with the letter attached stating my case was forwarded over to the Kingston, Jamaica Embassy and to apply and prepare for the interview....SMH.

I guess the NVC calls themselves been "eco-friendly" and not mailing the letter. If I would have waited on them to get confirmation, Reni's interview and medical wouldn't have been scheduled until mid-late May!!!! They are over a week late sending me this! <_<

ROC Filing:

4/21/2021 - Sent ROC Package via FedEx

4/22/2021 - FedEx package delivered and signed

5/11/2021 - Check cashed

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken

lol I was happy it was sent via email than snail mail. I printed everything she needs plus updated photos and boarding passes so she wouldn't have to spend money doing it down there. I organized everything for her since I won't be able to fly down and go with her to the interview.

QUESTION....when my fiancé went back into the visa system (https://ais.usvisa-info.com) to print his interview instructions confirmation, he accidently clicked on "add applicant" and the system created an IVR # but we aren't adding anyone else, it's just him we are petitioning for. The system won't let me delete the applicant box.

This won't affect my fiancé's current interview appointment that we already set up right? I just don't want to get to the interview and the EO says I see you clicked on "add applicant" but you didn't enter any information for another beneficiary. I assume that it would be okay since he only paid on visa fee which was for him, but I don't want to assume hence why I'm asking for confirmation.

Fiance just got his Visa-

For those with successful POE - Can you clarify something for me? @mcs
He has his passport and One brown envelope that he's told to not open and to give at the border.

My (perhaps foolish) question is: He has to go through Europe first with a pit-stop before coming into U.S.
Would this be a problem? since his passport doesn't actually have any Visa stamps in it.

Thanks!

I don't think that will be a problem unless by pit-stop you mean that he will be leaving the airport to visit somewhere in Europe.  Our PoE trip originated in Bangkok and made a necessary stop in Hong Kong  since there are no direct flights between Bangkok and Boston.  It's a normal thing that US immigration understands... direct flights from the beneficiary's country is often not possible,  either due to distance or finances.  Hope that helps!

After 2 flights and a lot of tears saying bye to my mum - I'm finally here!

Feels amazing.

immigration officer at airport was very straightforward and kind.

What do you mean “his passport doesn't actually have any Visa stamps?” If he has a visa it should be in his passport. Back in the days, visas were stamped, now they are glued in.

That's what I thought- there should have been a stamp.
But he has a glued document. Thanks!

So yesterday my fiancée went for her medical in Kingston. Her appointment was 8am and she arrived at 6:30am with 2 other ppl on the same bus she took down. She was number 1 and completed the entire medical by 11am. She had to fill out a medical history form, take a chest X-Ray and 2 vaccines ($14,000). They informed her she needs an MMR vaccine but is allowed to get it done at her private doctor(thank God because vaccines are half the price at her private doctor) before the interview date. She said everyone was nice but the gentleman who went over her medical history kept badgering her about marijuana use. She said she never used it and never had any interest in using it. He kept pressing the issue until finally saying ok. I'm glad I told her to prepare herself to be there for 5-6 hours so she was happy to be the first one finished. If she would of arrived later she probably would of been there all day lol
