Just doing my usual random popping in to tell how happy I am to keep getting updates from your Timeline and see how fast things are moving for you two now.

Best of luck for the interview on April 27th 😁

Awww...thank you my April bestie. Yes, Reni just submitted the DS-160 and printed 2 copies of the confirmation page. I just paid the visa fee and they had the 27th opened for an interview appointment. Just waiting on St. Andrews to confirm his medical exam because they require the interview be scheduled first and then email them the date of the interview and then they will schedule his medical exam. Hopefully, they can squeeze him in this week as it would be 2 weeks prior to his interview. But worse case scenario, if we have to move his interview date back some, we will. But we have been so ready for this part of the process for a while now.

ROC Filing:

4/21/2021 - Sent ROC Package via FedEx

4/22/2021 - FedEx package delivered and signed

5/11/2021 - Check cashed

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken

Looking at the calendar, I believe we'll keep the date. According to JA Embassy the say to have the interview at least 10 days after the medical. Andrews scheduled it 9 days before so I'm inclined to believe that the medical exam knows what they're doing and why they did it this way considering they require that the interview is scheduled FIRST and then to email them with the interview date so that THEY can schedule the date of the medical exam. I really don't like that concept but there's a whole laundry list of things that I don't like about this process so there's no sense in me complaining now. His medical exam should be quick and easy since he's got all (but one) vaccination and he doesn't drink or smoke and has recently had a physical for work since he is a certified lifeguard and CPR and has to take exams twice a year work.

Hopefully, things will work out just fine for once!

Awww..thank you!!!! I'm starting to believe that we didn't go through all of this and come this far just to get stopped in our tracks!!!! They say at least 10 days...well this is 9 days. Hopefully that one extra day won't make or break them walking across the street to drop off his medical report. I'm just hoping we stay on this fast train all the way through until POE!!! Wow, the idea of my fiancé actually being here before Mother's Day would be the 2nd BEST GIFT to get this year (other than my son who is the 1st gift and the reason why I can celebrate Mother's Day period, lol).

Welp....now it's time to start looking at flights!!!!

Okay everyone, here is Reni and I timeline:

Medical Exam: April 18th at 8:00 am (Wednesday)

Interview: April 27th at 10:00 am (Friday)

Fee paid and DS-160 has been submitted (by Reni) and he has 2 copies of the confirmation page and he also emailed me the confirmation so that I can make additional copies here and bring them with me (I'm OCD so I always believe in the backup to the backup)

The interview date MIGHT change only because, the JA Embassy did not allow me to select any dates in May as the calendar was grayed out. Leads me to believe that since we're still in the beginning portion of April, May might not become available until next week, so Reni and I MIGHT change the date to May 4th which is the following Monday and that would be because it would only be 9 days between the medical and interview and although the hospital is right across the street from the Embassy, there's no way in knowing how slow Andrews will be with walking it across the street. In a perfect world, all of this won't matter and it will there because Reni has a clean bill of health and God may give us a break with waiting any longer than necessary since we've waited almost a year to get to this point. I will let you guys know if we change it but worse case scenario, we go to the interview on the 27th and they tell us we're approved contingent on the medical exam and I have to call every day and night to make sure that the medical gets there so they can process the visa. (I'm trying to remain positive that I won't have to do this but....well, you guys already know what I'm gonna say about that, lol).

I will be flying down on April 26th to attend the interview (or May 3rd if we change the interview date to May 4th).  Again, in a perfect world, the medical exam will be there and in a SHINIER perfect world, the CO will say that they will expedite processing our visa to allow him to fly back with me. I will probably stay until May 6th if we don't change the date, but if the interview is on May 4th I will have to fly back home early and when he's ready to fly here I will fly back for a quick weekend trip to help him get everything in order so we can fly back together (estimate that would be the weekend of May 20th). I'm hoping and praying things can stay the way they are because May 20th would be 2 days before we filed our fiancé petition a year ago, although I know I gotta find some patience from somewhere.

Either way, WE ARE READY TO GO!!!!! :D

omg looks like you're going to have to fill me in on how his interview process goes since he's doing his before my fiancee. I'm so happy for you guys! OAN, my lawyer just emailed me to say the petition was approved and now being sent to NVC smh thank God I didn't depend on this fool.

Girl, the system wouldn't let me pick any dates in May but if it's necessary to push it a week back we will although, we have everything done. He's just got to get another police record, certificate of non-impediment, and a certified copy of his BC which 2 1/2 weeks is enough time for him to do. Andrews scheduled it exactly 9 days before the interview so I would like to think they did that knowing it's not the full 10 days before and his appointment is at 8am in the morning. I feel bad for him because he's' gonna have to wake up at 3am in the morning to take 2 buses to get from the west side of the island (Hanover Parish) all the way to Kingston which is about 3-4 hours with stops. And then turn around and we'll be doing that same commute the following week for his interview. But we're ready....we've BEEN ready!

For your interview ,try to find a hotel close to the USA embassy there , it's that I did , it's will help ,so you guys can stay in the hotel one day or two days before the interview date , what time it's your interview?

I stay at his house. Enough money is being spent with getting everything together that we don't need to add on an unnecessary expense. His interview is at 10am so we'll take the bus and leave at 3-4am in the morning since it takes about 3-4 hours to get there with stops along the way. We'll get there around 8am or so. He's done this ride before to the embassy. He actually has to take this ride next Wednesday to the hospital for his medical exam at 8am.

@Trinab80 He might have to pay for the expedited police certificate. The certificate of no-impediment came in about a week but the police certificate may take 3weeks or longer regular way. When I told my finance her medical was 8am she was pissed lmao she's like do they know I'm coming from Westmorland?!?! I'm like yes they know, no they don't care lol she's going to have to take the 3am bus to get there in time. Her interview is at 10am but she's still going to have to leave early to get there early. She had a lot of traveling because for most of her documents she had to take the bus down to Montego Bay since she couldn't get anything in Westmorland. Lucky thing my house is in Montego Bay so she stays there when she comes down. I feel you on not spending a dime more than necessary. We are stretched tight from fees and I feel bad for her because the certificate she got before and because the process took so long has to pay to get it again. I hope she doesn't have to get too many vaccines. I told her go to her local clinic and get what she could since it would be way cheaper than at Andrews Memorial but she said no she's going to wait and do them at the medical. Approximately $3,000JMD for a vaccine near her compared to $7,000JMD in Kingston. Highway robbery

Yes, he's gonna pay for the expedited police record. He's requesting it tomorrow. When is her medical exam???? Westmoreland is the next parish over from Hanover so girl, I know she was pissed. Reni has to be on the road by like 3-4am to get the first taxi to MoBay so he can get the bus from there to ride to Kingston. And then we will do the same journey the following Friday for the interview. He said the same thing...."Babe, why so early??" I told him that's what they gave me.

I had Reni go to the local clinic like 2 months ago and get all his vaccines taken cared of. I think he only missed one because they didn't have anymore in stock at the clinic that day, but he's good on that because we need to make sure we stretch every nickel, dime and penny to the end between all of these items and plane tickets. The police record he just got when he started working at the Azul resort last month but he had to give it to them so he'll have to request it again.

I will have to send him some funds to get him through the medical and expedited paperwork since he paid the visa fee on Monday. I swear this process is made to rob the poor so they can continue to get rich while emotionally stressing us out!

That's the truth! Not to mention the cost of plane tickets and venue for marriage. We plan just to go to the courthouse and have a small dinner reception with close friends and family
