Yes they had lots and lots of days in April. They haven't opened up May yet for scheduling. I picked the last day in April since I didn't realize I should of went online to schedule the medical in advance. They don't reply right away to give you a date for the medical. Depending on the day they give I might have to reschedule her interview date to sometime in May. I'm hoping I got everything...I updated our letter of intent, completed the I-134 & DS-160, I sent a copy of the NOA2 since they wrote she needs to bring evidence of approval along with a copy of the I-129 petition(written on the receipt page of DS-160 the beneficiary will need passport and I-129 during the rest of the process). I never heard anyone mention this but I sent it anyway cause better safe than sorry. Yes she went to the resgistrar general and got a certified copy of birth certificate when she applied for no-impediment. Thank you for that! I printed my boarding passes for the 2 times I visited since we started the process plus 30 more pics lol. I sent copy of every page in my passport, my tax return transcripts from 2016, 2015, 2014. W2 for 2017 since I haven't filed my taxes yet. I sent 2 months of check stubs and employment letter. Do you think I'm missing anything? I'm going to post office on my lunch break so hope to hear from you soon.

You should update your letter intend 3 days or 2 days before your interview

Interview done! I was so nervous. Now I'm waiting for my visa to arrive. I went to Montreal yesterday. If anyone has questions, please get in touch.

NVC received our case today but the case number is ready yet. I'll call back on Monday to get it. Only took 9 days for them to receive it.

So my fiancee medical is on the 16th. Looks like they give you a medical date exactly 2 weeks from whatever date you schedule the interview. We couldn't schedule sooner because we're waiting for the certificate of No-impediment and my documents to arrive. I sent it regular snail mail. I didn't see it necessary to pay to expedite my paperwork when we're waiting for the No-impediment.

That makes sense. Reni is going on Tuesday to request his paperwork since Friday and Monday the registrar office is closed due to Good Friday and Easter Monday. I'm thinking the case number will be ready on Monday and we'll get everything scheduled then.

After 305 days of waiting which is 10 months and 5 days....RENI AND I HAVE BEEN APPROVED (APPROVAL DATE MARCH 22ND)

I knew you'd get it today. Now tomorrow it's on Reni. He has some running around to do to print out the DS-160 receipt and getting the No-impediment. You may be able to schedule his interview end of April or 1st week in May to be on the safe side he will have everything. The next few days are going to be a whirlwind lol it's surreal how fast everything goes for here on out.

That's what I told him tonight. So hopefully we'll have everything scheduled before the week is done.

@TeeSam....okay, now I have some questions for you (I know right, you would think I'd be a master at this point for as long as I waited...)

 

When you paid the visa fee, did you pay it and if so did the site try to convert the payment in JA currency or keep it at USD? I'm only asking because I'm gonna pay it using my credit card and someone else told me that the system converted the payment into JA currency and initially the payment got kicked back but I'm thinking it's because she used her debit card whereas if I use my credit card the conversion will pick up automatically (since credit cards are set up for international use automatically than debit cards).

 

Also, our case is still at the NVC per the case tracker which is fine since the case number was created yesterday. Do we have to wait until JA embassy receives our case (which should be no later than the end of the week or next Monday) to schedule the interview and medical exam or can we do that ASAP after I pay the visa fee?

 

Reni is going to the internet café on Thursday to e-sign and print the confirmation page and request his police record, certificate of non-impediment and a certified copy of his BC (he already has his original long form BC) because he switched his day off with a co-worker so most likely that is when I will pay the fee? Or can I pay the fee now before submitting the DS-160?

 

If there are dates and/or times available for April 27th or 30th, that is what we'll try to pick, although I'm thinking it will be no later than May 4th.
