We only needed his divorce decree and my passport for our license. Was very easy and fast, we paid $40 in PA.

we got married in December and mailed the AOS papers in February, it took me a lot to put everything together, but it's not that horrible. Make sure he has the vaccination records from tbe medical appt in his country, we have to send those. Translated copy of birth certificate.. but you are able to find it all in details on AOS threads here in VJ. It took me that long because i dont have a printer, so my husband had to do it at work lol

good luck!

Thank you I really appreciate the information.

girl it was ready from last week and I didn't even realize! NVC is moving super quick. So I rushed and did the DS-160 and had her go to the library to sign and print. I paid the $265 fee from up her and emailed her the receipt so she could print it. She couldn't pay for the DS-160 when she signed and when I went to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-JM/iv/schedule/19567786  to pay I had to schedule the interview date. I picked the last day in April to give her time to schedule the medical. The medical can only be scheduled online at www.amhosp.org and click on the US Medical tab. They will email you a medical history form and date of medical. Reni would have to take the form along with all the other documents to medical in Kingston. My fiancée went today to get the certificate of No-Impediment. Its $8,500 not $7,500 as they have on the website at Registrar General Department. It takes 10 business days to receive. She had to redo the police certificate since its been over 6months since the last one. I think I pretty much have all the documents I need to send her so I just have to put a rush delivery on it. I didn't expect NVC to move so fast to send the petition to Jamaica! Girl get your ducks ready because it really does go fast from here! I'm so excited again!!

Have her get a certified photocopy of her birth certificate as well as having her original long form Birth Certificate. Just in case the embassy request to keep it or her original BC is faded. Someone got held up for this and had to go get a photocopy before they got their visa issued. I gotta finish his DS-160 tonight so I can be ready if it's going this fast! LOL

Don't forget to send her updated letters of intent with new dates....

Are you going to the interview????

Girl, I'm so excited...if you got your interview by the 30th, we shouldn't be that much further behind you. I'm gonna start calling NVC tomorrow since it will be a week from my approval date. Keep in touch with me because you know I want to know what her experience was like.

Well, we finished and have the DS-160 application saved. It wasn't hard to fill out just tedious and repetitive. I-134 is filled out and saved, only have to sign and date it. Letters of intent date has been updated just have to sign it. Only thing left for me to do is print more pictures of when I went to visit him since May 2017 and print some of our chat logs from WhatsApp, although I doubt they'll look at them. He's gonna request his police record and certificate of non-impediment tomorrow and he'll get new passport photos once we schedule everything.

I'll start calling NVC starting today since it's officially 7 days since we have been approved. It's crazy how these 7 days flew by we quick. Waiting for our approval, the days seem to drag.

Yes they had lots and lots of days in April. They haven't opened up May yet for scheduling. I picked the last day in April since I didn't realize I should of went online to schedule the medical in advance. They don't reply right away to give you a date for the medical. Depending on the day they give I might have to reschedule her interview date to sometime in May. I'm hoping I got everything...I updated our letter of intent, completed the I-134 & DS-160, I sent a copy of the NOA2 since they wrote she needs to bring evidence of approval along with a copy of the I-129 petition(written on the receipt page of DS-160 the beneficiary will need passport and I-129 during the rest of the process). I never heard anyone mention this but I sent it anyway cause better safe than sorry. Yes she went to the resgistrar general and got a certified copy of birth certificate when she applied for no-impediment. Thank you for that! I printed my boarding passes for the 2 times I visited since we started the process plus 30 more pics lol. I sent copy of every page in my passport, my tax return transcripts from 2016, 2015, 2014. W2 for 2017 since I haven't filed my taxes yet. I sent 2 months of check stubs and employment letter. Do you think I'm missing anything? I'm going to post office on my lunch break so hope to hear from you soon.

Ofcourse I'm going to let you know how it goes every step of the way! I wish I could go down for the interview but I have to consider the cost for buying her ticket to come up. She really wants me to go with her...if I can find an airfare deal I'll definitely fly down.

Don't forget employment verification letter with date of hire, title, salary or hourly amount and current employment status like if you're full time or part time. Other than that, you're good to go!!!

I'm so excited for you hun!! We waited so long and yet we are closer than we ever thought we'd be right now!
