Hi guys, really need your help. So i recieved my letter stating that the london embassy has recieved my approved petition. I'm just getting everything ready and wanted to schedule my interview for may as thats when my fiance can come to see me in london. Problem is there is only one date showing as available when i try and schedule and that's march 29th...

I don't want to schedule that early as I'm going to paris with my inlaws in july and i want to move in september.... How long can i wait to schedule interview before the embassy throws out my petition and considers it to be abandoned? :( thanks!

Is there a way to schedule the interview at a later date?

PLEASE HELP!

I believe on your NOA2 there is a valid from and to.... however once your approved at the interview the visa is valid for 6 months.

There are April dates available as I was booked for the 3rd but changed it to the 28th March. I think Mays dates will become available closer to April. I know someone that had to wait for April a dates to be available and it was near the end of March, however you can change dates but I'm not sure how many times.

Was this with the London embassy? Where does it say the dates? It literally only has one date for me and didn’t show anything except one date.

Yes with London embassy

Are you on this website https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv

You need to create a profile, then I believe you can book an appointment once payment has been done.

Hey guys! Completed and submitted my DS-160...just confused as to what comes next/what do I do/what am I waiting for now?

Some more information about where you are in the process would be helpful :)

Do you have your NVC # yet? If so, the next step the embassy receiving your case.

Once your embassy receives your case, they will send you a packet with information on how to schedule medical, interview, pay the fee, etc. In my  case, we were able to schedule medical before the case got to the embassy because we had the NVC #.

Just popping in as I do. Andy's interview is Friday. We are hoping for an early May POE.

I'm going to have to break my lease. It's so hard to plan a wedding, a new life, a new apartment. I wish everyone a peaceful day full of coffee.

Does the NVC # come in the mail, or an email?

Is an NVC case number the same as an NVC #?

We're still waiting for our NVC case number , we have NOA2 since February 8, we called NVC and they always said it takes 8 weeks to have it, why it takes so long to have case number? Thank you

Each case is different. If you are on the electronic system, it might take a while.
Just keep calling them every day.
Hopefully you get it soon!

What's next is all embassy specific.
Have you gotten your case number from NVC? that should tell you if your case is ready at the Canadian embassy.
I think Canada is one of those where you HAVE to wait for the embassy to contact you before you do anything further.

Check around VJ for the Canada forum and ask there. They'll be better able to help you :D

You can call NVC yourself and get your case number. That's much faster than maybe waiting an additional 6+ weeks for them to send it to you.

Yes, the case number is the same as the NVC #.
