Good morning,  just another question plz, I'm thinking about canceling k1 and reapply for cr1,would that be easier?

You would have to start all over by cancelling and the CR1 takes 12-14 months from what I hear. Do you feel the k1 isn’t going to be approved?

How does this work for the CR1 then? Won’t they still be requesting copies of documents that no longer exist? Just curious 🤔

IMBRA doesn’t apply to married couples. There are no questions on the I-130 about criminal background. I have the expungement documents so I will have those available. I may even include them. I haven’t thought too much on that as the focus now is getting married before AJ turns 18.

Why do that now?  You are 9 months in. The transition isn’t easy. Now that we are doing the CR-1 after the K-1 the little differences are challenging. It would be a little cheaper for you since you haven’t done the medical yet but it will take longer. Do you think the K-1 won’t be approved?

Yes we are. We love the plan. The goal was always to get married and now we can do that with Rose’s family there. I’m still freaking out and the differences with the paperwork but I will get over that. In the back of our heads is the possibility for another refusal too. Hopefully that wears off. Right now it is full steam ahead.

I’m sure the sting of the refusal is still there which is completely understandable. I don’t think you’ll have any problems though. What are the big differences with the paperwork?

There are really no derivatives with the CR-1. The LPR can do that but at this stage I have 3 separate petitions and 3 separate fees. They are are treated as individual petitions in this process. It isn’t bad just different. Tracking three numbers instead of one and trying to keep them all together looks like a challenge. I haven’t filed yet and I’m still feeling it our though.

not about approval but we have not heard any single word! our case seems  like forgotten, and we feel like stagnate and can't do anything   so it is making us very stressed, and by seeing all the applicants after us getting approved  makes it worse .

I know the other option is worse than k1 believe me we are so confused and don't know what to do seems like nothing can speed up this process or get at least information ...

anyway thank you so much for your concern and I know you are also waiting for the approval and you are way longer than us good luck for us and hope you get approval very very soon

A bittersweet car ride with my sister, reminiscing about our dad, listening to music from our childhood, and a rather tearful goodbye... I'm at the airport.

Good luck everyone. 'May the 1st' day of this month bring everyone happiness. 💜

I'll see you in a few hours, Americaland! 😎🤩😎

Ohh... The fist day of may. Beltaine. The perfect day to move to your loved one. Enjoy baby. Have a great flight.

both of us have never done something wrong for a refusal, but taking that long makes us doubt about , why everybody is getting approvals and not us , we have never been married, and we have not done anything even speed ticket, she called she submitted service request but we haven't gotten any information and just weeks and months pass , how long would be this ??!!! that's why I thought CR1 would be quicker if k1 take a year to be approved plus time till the interview, plus time for AOS so it would be longer than CR1 .

So according to expert CR1 is not worth it at this level, we just have to wait for their decision

I see Octobers getting approved more than junes and julys and Augusts, summer time is not the best time to apply looks like, but anyway still this process is the most stressful process I've ever experienced.

Yes we inquired and today is 45 days since we received the inquiry  number, so we are able to make the 2nd one but we will email instead, the service request ended up unfruitful ...

Good luck for you and for everyone still waiting
