You could take informal vows in the Philippines -  you and her -

make your commitment to each other in an informal ceremony (with her family and friends), give your rings.  You have now made the commitment to be together and

you both have something tangible to pass the days.  Because when it comes right down to it - that's all marriage is - two people making a commitment to each other.

Let the government take its course - meanwhile you two are moving forward in your commitment and life together.

The separation time will make you a more venerable couple, love will be strong, and you can support them as they need.

During the next application time - plan to visit every 4 to 6 months.

I think the K-1 is worth waiting for -

so, so, sorry you have to negotiate this (annoying) process again -  I wish you godspeed, John.

Take vows together - the significance and meaning to each other will go a long way to express the commitment and lighten the "longing."

In our case Rose has a 17 year old son.  If we do not have a properly authorized and recorded wedding before he turns 18 (July 18) I will not be able to establish a step father relationship with him and I will not be able to petition him.  We are a little stressed but once we get married we will have time to work through the rest.

I visited 5 times in 2017.  I have already visited once this year and will do a short trip for the Affidavit in Lieu of the Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage and start the ball rolling on the marriage license and have our required marriage counseling and family planning seminar.

Said goodbye to my oldest and closest friends last night. Had my last roast dinner with them, had a laugh in the pub... Then cried as they each wished me luck. Saying goodbye to my best friend last was heartbreaking. Lost. My. Sh!t.

Ed, my cat, has just this second been picked up and is on her way to the cattery for her preflight pampering.

I'm sat at home alone. It's empty... I fly out tomorrow. I'm scared, happy, crying... And cursing at how bad my grey hair and my roots are! Should probably go reapply the purple and turquoise so I actually look like the photos I provided 😂

This part is nearly over. 😐 How amazing, yet utterly bewildered this all is.

Seriously, go hug your friends and family, if you still can!

I had my last day of work today. Sad to leave since i was there for 8 years.

I didn't get to say goodbye to my coworkers yet since i plan on coming back and taking my fiance there to meet them before we actually fly out.

I think i'd probably lost my as well when i say goodbye to my best friend but i'm hoping she can come visit me this Christmas. It's not gonna be a goodbye but a "see yah later" thing. ;)

I hope your cat, ed, will enjoy her flight. I'm still in the process of getting Georgie's paperwork done so hopefully he can travel with us as well. The stray cat that i'm feeding outside my house just gave birth to four kittens and now i'm kinda sad that i won't be able to see them grow up. :( Need to make sure i can find good homes for them before i leave.

Hope you have an awesome flight and safe journey ahead! :)

Hi dear June filers, I need some help regarding how to email ( csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov ) what to put on the email or how to format the email.

My fiancee just called USCIS and was told to email the listed address,  and should get response within 21 days.

Any answer from someone who experienced that would be more than appreciated.

Yep.  I failed to follow directions and I did not disclose a 1990 misdemeanor arrest that has been expunged.  When I got expunged the Federal Judge and my lawyer told me that it no longer exists and that I can answer no to that question on job applications and such.  It is true everywhere but immigration.  I answered "no" and we were refused because I failed to disclose information on the petition.  The weird part is that since it is expunged, I could not produce any court certified paperwork for it anyway.  In my research, expunged people have been refused because they only had copies and the courts can't certify documents that don't exist.  I think it is just one of those weird loopholes.  I would have been refused if I said yes because I would not be able to produce the court certified papers that would have been requested in the RFE.

This is due to IMBRA and the Adam Walsh Law.

There are also a few people who have done the same with their expunged records and were approved.  Now onto plan B

How does this work for the CR1 then? Won’t they still be requesting copies of documents that no longer exist? Just curious 🤔
