@purplepink do they have the petitioners email?

I had emailed the embassy on Tuesday.

This is their response:

Good Morning,

Thank you for your inquiry.

Your case is in mail transit at the moment. As soon as your file is document qualified the Visa Unit will advise you of the next steps.

We hope that this information is helpful in replying to your inquiry.

So dumb.

Seriously.

Is it safe to assume that one month is enough wait time from passing the interview to VOH?

My interview is in Montreal.

What is the average wait time everywhere else?

For all you Canada-folk!

I saw someone said they are told 2 weeks but have it in a few days.

If you have not read peoples interview experiences, I recommend it to put you at ease and know what to expect.

Got an email back from CSC saying that the security checks are *still* pending. Also our case has not yet assigned to anyone yet at the omsbudsman office. So not much else to do but now but wait   Thanks to everyone for the positive thoughts, I am hoping there is an answer in the not so distant future

I was thinking about you and Martin today. I am so disappointed to  hear that you're still waiting. :(

At this point we have nothing to do but be hopeful. Keep being optimistic and patient.

We will keep you in our prayers.

We, ourselves are still waiting too. 297days. It's not normal at all but what else can we do.

Hang in there, we all will get through this.

I got something from DHS/USCS today! I-179 notice of action.

But it says "the above petition has been approved and forwarded to the listed consulate". Doesn't it go to the NVC at this point?

I just realized that you wrote I-179, instead of I-797.  Is yours really an I-179 notice?  Maybe it is in response to an inquiry that you did.

But it does have to go to the NVC first, because they have to assign a new NVC case number, because that is how you will track it on the CEAC website.  You could try contacting the NVC and see if they have received your case yet.

Oopse. I was excited and I typed wrong. Yes it's an I-797.
