Went for an Infopass meeting yesterday and of course no new information...security checks are still pending and they can give me no idea how much longer it could take...”could be a week, could be a year”. Seriously? And she said that that everytime I submit an inquiry it’s slowing down my case because the file has to be pulled. What BS. Anyway, that’s my rant...not sure when I will bother with my next inquiry 🤷🏼‍♀️ Hope anyone else who is still waiting hears something soon!

You are not alone. Our case has no update still. We are on our 281days and got nothing.

More patience and i know we are gonna get something good very soon. Hang in there!

Hey guys quick question,

My mom is co-sponsoring our application (going through Rio De Janeiro).  Is it essential to have the letter from the bank/statements?  I'm not sure if she could get this, but she has a letter from her employer/pay stubs showing she makes $70,000+

It would be alright if you don't have a bank statement just as long as you provide an affidavit of support (I-134 Form), one from you and one from your mom. The documents needed for the affidavit are W2s and tax return 1040 or tax transcripts. You could include the pay stubs too.

Thank you, I am usually a patient person...we just can’t help but think of the worse case scenario of waiting all this time then getting denied. We don’t anticipate that will happen as there is no grounds...but sometimes you can’t help but wonder! Keep us posted if you hear anything!

Is there any reason?  Is there some skeleton that can justify this bizarre delay?
