@Lotts   I second this!

How long has it been since your medical again? Did your interview get pushed back because of the lack of action from your doc's office?

I had my medical on the 3rd of march.

They want details of my depression spell in 2009 after my dad died and a blackout I had in 2014. I told the doctor what they needed, sent a copy of the request letter. There is now talk of me having to pay for the retrieval of these details?! I could honestly cry.

Just give them the info!!! Blackout was just a freak thing. Nothing came back from blood tests, never happened again. Antidepressants were to help me after my dad passed. That was it. Nothing since. 😑😑😑😑 Aaarrrghhhhhh!!!

I would knock down the doctors doors at this point. Literally get loud in the office, but stop before the point of police action.

No joke, get on your $hltkickers and kick some $hlt!

I agree...although I would probably not wear sh$tkickers lol! I would show up and insist on speaking to the office manager (or at least this is how things like this are handled in the states) If you’re not getting what you wasn’t, go up the food chain. We have plenty of patients that complain at my office and the office manager always has to be involved with these cases. Good luck!

I've heard that consulates sometimes get picky about what they perceive as mental health issues. The death of a parent shouldn't be classed as such though, since grieving is a natural and normal response. It's not comparable to some kind of ongoing clinical depression that has no discernable cause.

Again all I can suggest is to stay on top of them if they're dragging their feet. Get them their money somehow, and then, if I were you I'd tell them this: "I will be calling you thrice daily until these records arrive at the embassy" or something to that effect. Just to make sure they know you're serious.

As long as your med records show that you are not likely to become a public charge, I'm sure it will satisfy the consulate.

I'm so sorry you're going through all this. (L) Hang in there, It will be over soon.

Better warn her about shrinkage!  60 degrees out with water coming off a mountain?  I’d go for the pot on the fire!

Actually she may enjoy that more she complained, well not complained.  but not your claim of malaking titi.      At least soon we will be traveling to be with our loved ones and hopefully bringing them back with us or soon after.  I am still getting everything put together, all the waiting, in my mind I had time.  I had a packet put together back in September and ready, now just updating.  This time my mind is fighting or more concerned.  I do not know why it is the same but now it just seems so real.  I have been trying to get the house together for them, but then want to wait so it is our house not what I had and they moved into.   So I have living rooms without couches, walls that are dry walled but no paint, basically only real functioning rooms are the kitchen, and bathrooms, but all will be well.   Soon (hopefully) the house will be a home with 3 more mouths to feed.

That is all of our dreams.  Whatever we have to do, soon we will both have families to take care of. Oh yes, it is very real now!

Have a great safe trip!  I hope they are home with you very soon!  You are a bit ahead of us so I look forward to hearing how the interview and POE goes.

Sounds like you’re sorted! But very important and I forgot, I installed this as well! I assume it’s popular in the Philippines also? $20-$30!

(Ok, I may have fallen in love with it during my 5 years without the paper) :luv:

My fiance installed one in his bathroom after he came to visit the Philippines.

He loved it! Except when it's winter and the water's too cold. :D

So true.  I know we will figure it all out.  I will do anything to give them a happy, simple, peaceful, comfortable life.  That is all I want for them right now.  Hopefully someday I will have a happy, simple, peaceful, comfortable life too!
