Hello Junies!

I hope everyone  is doing fine and everything with visa journey is moving forward. I been in the states since March 31st and got married  last Friday  on April  27th. Will share some pics  when I am settled.

Apparently I didn't go back far enough to catch up.  Man, I'm sorry.

 

Well. Having a plan b going is a good thing. It was hard to do, because you don't want to think about needing contingency plans in the beginning, but Paul and I came up with a plan b long ago. It was more him being practical that nothing is guaranteed - I would've ignored the possibility just like I do all other impending adult possibilities that I don't want to deal with, LOL. Ours was similar to yours. If we still got a no.. Sweden would've just had to become an option of residence.

 

I usually HATE people who say "everything happens for a reason!" but in times like these... I certainly hope for such a reality. Hang in there.

Day 316...I had submitted an inquiry to the Ombudsman on 2/22 and still no response. I emailed their office on Monday and left a message yesterday...still nothing. So frustrating! The waiting game continues 😬

Your situation is so ridiculous. It pisses me off. You definitely have a lot of patience. I am being impatient at day 203 lol

How did you order it, and when did you order it? I got one for my wife and the whole process was convoluted at best but we got it within 2 weeks.

We are good.  I am going to Manila on May 21 for the pre-marriage seminar (required even for civil weddings) and to get the Affidavit in Lieu of Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage.  Then we apply for the marriage license and wait the 10 day "cooling off" period.  We are planning a wedding the week of June 11 baring any other hiccups.

I CAN'T WAIT!  The stress levels will diminish by 95%.  We would love to do it sooner but the paperwork and arrangements are holding us back.

MY NOA2 WAS APPROVED APRIL 30. I have my official notice arriving in the mail today. No email, the app doesn't have an update and the new website still showed that we were waiting as of last night. This morning it was updated.
 

I'm so dizzy I don't know what I'm supposed to do next. YOU GUYS WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NEXT? omg. We're approved. It took 319 days from NOA1.

I have officially changed my name! Mark and I are over the moon. We started the paperwork for AoS and will hopefully send it off within the next two weeks! I can't believe we are finally to this point of the process.

 

Mark and I got married in Louisville on April 14th. My family from Alabama traveled up, along with my best friend who is from central FL. My childhood pastor officiated the wedding. It was small and simple. Just like we wanted. 

 

I still check in daily on you all. <3
