Wow you’d think that would be a quick one.. I only sent in the scan of my passport of the main identification pages.. but didn’t get an rfe for that.

My entire case should be quick. We've both never married, no children, no arrests. I've had one ticket in my lifetime and it was a traffic ticket that came AFTER the filing. It makes no sense.

What is AP?

Administrative Processing.  Everyone goes through that.  It can be a day to years depending on the petition.  It is just the final step before issuing (or denying) the visa.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

Proof of citizenship. I sent in a full scan of my passport (minus the actual cover) so I sent it all in again with the cover this time.

I didn’t send in all pages from my passport, that’s no longer required.

I did also also send my birth certificate and some other things though.

We will, in a few weeks. But that would put us on the May 2018 filers. Will keep a close watch of the April thread, though.

@Martin3517

Call NVC 2 weeks after your NOA2 approval date. It took us 16 days to get the NVC case# or MCN. Your fiance can call them too. The process goes pretty quick after NOA2, for PH beneficiaries.

been 2 weeks. I called again hahaha. within 6 weeks still

I sent in my short form (I don't have a long form birth certificate) but the RFE was to prove my citizenship and the passport was listed as an option. I hope this doesn't mean I have even longer to wait.

@John & Rose  I hope the planning has been going well for your tribe! I saw a post mentioning July POE...? Did I read that correctly? That will be here before you know it! I can hardly believe it's May already.

Nope.  Our visa was refused so I will marry Rose there and do a CR-1.  I screwed up by not thoughroughly reading and understanding a question.  It was my fault so now I am working on fixing it.  Rose and I are planning on getting married in late June or early July then we will file the CR-1.

I don't think so. From the instructions it doesn't require both, it just says it "may" include.

You should be OK

3. Evidence of U.S. citizenship which may include any of the following:

A. A copy of your birth certificate issued by a U.S. civil authority; B. A copy of your original Certificate of Naturalization; C. A copy of your original Certificate of Citizenship; D. A copy of your Form FS-240, Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the United States; E. A copy of your valid, unexpired U.S. passport or passport card issued with a validity period of at least five years; or F. A statement executed by a U.S. consular officer certifying that you are a U.S. citizen and the bearer of a currently valid U.S. passport.
