Guys, sorry your cases are taking long to get approved. This can be frustrating.

Have you guys tried getting help from your Senators? Call their offices or visit their website or email them, if you haven't done this already.

Hi everyone. I am in the step where I have to submit all my documentation through the CEAC site to the NVC. I uploaded all the the petitioner's (myself) and applicant's documents. I added a household member to my case and received the message through CEAC saying that my request to add a household member has been approved. This was about two weeks ago. The site does not allow me to add the household member's documents. I can see the household member's name on the page but it says 'N/A' next to their name.

Has anyone else run into this situation when adding a household member or joint sponsor to your case? How did you resolve it?

I called the NVC and they said they would forward my case to a supervisor. They said it could take upto 6 weeks (!!!) for a supervisor to look at why the site isnt letting me upload documents. I was wondering if anyone else has gone through this and if there was any other way to for me to get all my documents uploaded and submit my case.

TIA!

The same exact thing happened to me. I called and they said the same thing that it can take up to 6 weeks...and my heart sank. However, stay positive because mine was available to upload documents after 1 day. Hoping yours will be sooner! If it doesn't I suggest you call back because it wont hurt.

Anyone else getting an error message when trying to upload documents on the NVC website? I've been trying all day to submit my last piece of document and I keep getting an error message..

Thank you Dee93, that does give me some hope that this might not take the entire 6 weeks. However, it has already been 1.5 weeks since I called them and them forwarding my case to a supervisor. I am planning to call Monday.

I almost wonder if I should try to add a household member to my case again to see if the second time will work normal. But I'm concerned if having 2 household members (for the one person) will lead to other issues...

You should definitely call them Monday. Who has 6 weeks to wait to upload documents; such BS. Insist to talk to a supervisor. Also send message to askNVC.

I had sent a message through askNVC over a week ago. They just responded to that today saying 'we have sent your correspondence for review', which I assume means they forwarded it to a supervisor.

I also called today and talked to a supervisor. They said this kind of error is fixed by a third party group (I assume an IT group) and apparently they have no idea how long it might take...

So I've reached out to them in every way possible. Seems like I need to wait (for no one knows how long) until an IT glitch gets fixed...

Did you log out and try to log back in? Try that and see.

Also make sure all your files are under 2mb.
