That’s good news, but unfortunately everyone is not getting the same result. As of 2 weeks NVC is only accepting tax transcripts, so this has made things more complicated for people who were told to submit 2018 taxes.

Do you have Case complete? Because it says accepted means nothing until NVC reviews the documents and gives case complete. Accepted only means that the documents are turned the right way and in the right spot. You can see above the ladies documents said accepted and she got a request to add her letter for not filing taxes in another section. The W2’s can be accepted, then you get a message saying include 2018 tax transcript 🤦🏽‍♀️. That’s just what’s been happening. Not saying that will happen, but NVC is not cut and dry.....SMH

Ok guys, I have a dilemma. I'm soooo confused. This is the situation. I petitioned for my husband. He lives in Mexico. I live here in Texas with my parents.

I already paid the fees. My Dad will be filling out an I-864a as a household member , to combine his income with mine. The question is , if my father files married/joint with my mom, does my mom need to fill out an I -864a as well? She does not work. But she does receive SSI . My father works and also receives SSI.  All of that is included on their taxes.

I have gathered the following tax documents. I do not know which ones I should send:

tax transcripts for my father and mine for 2015-2017

W2s + income tax files for 2018

Please help!! I'm confused

Thank you

My understanding is that, you are trying to get police certificate for a foreign national. If yes, the person you have applied for, needs to get it from his/her country. I do know if USCIS will be in a position to help you get it. For my wife she obtained to from her country.

I see you submitted all documents January 20? When did you receive case complete email ? How long did it take

Hi we received a notification email on Tuesday, 02/05, but we don't have CC yet. They rejected my marriage certificate for 1 stamp that was sideways. Which honestly is frustrating. Someone had commented on here that even though the items are "accepted" they could still be rejected before CC... but I spoke to someone at NVC and they said that "accepted" means accepted and that once they review the last rejected document. They will give us CC and put is in the line for an interview. Good luck. Let me know if you have any questions.

I don't think that's true. It could be for some cases I guess, but I was told  "accepted" means it's been actually accepted.

Hey I'm a few weeks behind you also CR1 from Costa Rica.  Did you submit originals of your certificates?  I know CR embassy wants everything originals with stamps etc.  I'm going to submit translations just to be safe... thanks!

This is worse than USCIS. We are not claiming that it will happen. You will get Case complete. Don’t stress about that.

You can use your father alone. His W2 will separate his income from your mom’s. If you need both in order to qualify, then yes they both need to fill out I-864a.

You submitted 2017 W2 that was the smart thing to do. If you submit 2018 without 2017 W2’s people get RFE

Accepted means what you submitted has been approved, but doesn’t mean something isn’t missing. For example all documents accept, but NVC issues RFE for 2018 Transcript, because they saw 2018 W2 and now want the transcript.

It all depends on the agent I guess, because there are a couple of people who have submitted only 2018 w2 without transcript being that they haven’t filed taxes yet and get case comolete without a RFE
