I called in the morning and the lady on the phone said I was approved on Dec 4th. So just to be sure I called again this afternoon, and the person I spoke to also confirmed that I have indeed been approved. So after about 260 days of battle with USCIS I am moving on to royal battle number two with NVC.  No alert from old and new sites; and no alerts from app.

By the way I received a letter from Senator Menendez's office on Dec 3rd after complaining to his office; his letter said my case is with an adjudicating officer for adjudication. I have a feeling the Senator's office did some magic with USCIS. He has bagged my vote for next time including my spouse's vote when she becomes a citizen :)

@mrsgeorge1 Thank you thank you. It's really a big relief. Trust me I was monitoring your case and using it as my measuring stick :) since you had your NOA1 before I did, and our African connection.

PD 03/28

NO1: 03/30/2018

NO2: 11/20/2018, received via mail on 11/26

App shows that on 11/29 it was sent to DOS for visa processing--> is this fast or slow? Typically how long does it take for USCIS to send it to DOS for processing?

Additionally, a little confused on what my next steps should be? Should I wait and then start to call NVC for my case number?

Thank you in advance :)

Its not fast, not slow.  It’s about right to me.

Out story so far :

We got approved on 19th September, and it was sent to NVC on 20th September.

NVC received it on 27th September

I called every week and was told it would take about 8 weeks.

We finally got our case number and invoice ID on 6th December by email.

It took about 6 weeks.

The fees were available for payment as soon as we logged in. You pay one by one.

We we are waiting for fees to be processed so we can submit hubbys Avidavit Of Support , my visa application

and civil docs

Hope that helps😊
